Give John grant a game

I agree LaT. Can't understand all the Lote hate on here. His first 2 games back have been ok - at least he runs the ball with some guts. He hasn't played a lot of football in the past 12 months, give the guy a chance to get back to full fitness.

I entirely agree.
Lote is a champion who is a positive influence on the team. He will get better as the stakes get higher.
PS ball he was supposed to have dropped in the Broncos game was actually a knock on by Hodges.

Sorry, this not a Lote thread. John Grant is injured and is not playing better than other wingers eligible to play Wests Tigers NRL.

My pecking order for possible 1st grade wwingers :

1\. Beau Ryan
2\. Lote Tuqiri
3\. Matt Utai
4\. Tim Simona
5\. Linc Port
5\. Koroiebete
7\. Nofoaluma
8\. John Grant

This order is based on the presumption that all are fit and available , takes into account , previous experience and current form .

Agreed, all these John Grant splurges are by the same people that have less than 10 posts.

Grant could be worth a shot in 2014.

Statistically Lote has been fine but his runs are weak especially at the back end of the game. He looks tired then and doesn't get involved at all. Plus whenever someone passes the ball to him you cross your fingers and hope for the best usually when he catches the ball = try time!).

Maybe throw John Grant in later in the year as it would seem super duper trooper desperate to play someone like him at this stage.

Grant has the potential to be the next big thing in league.

Why buy these blokes if they are not going to play him/

He would be a sensation outside Lawrence.

Some people seem to think that he is not ready. Let's find out. Has to be better than Lotei, who, unfortunately, has past it. In my opinion.

No winger would be a sensation outside Lawrence atm.

Would have to agree with you,Lawrence has been ordinary this year.

We definetly need some pace, but unfortunately I dont think Grant is ready yet.

How can we seriously field a backline which has Reddy, Tuquiri, Ryan, Ayshford in it???

One of the imponderables is why Tuquiri didnt play FB from the outset in 2010\. Was very good under the high ball at the time, solid in defence and was particularly good on the kick return. Understood he was signed to play in that position

Lote came straight from playing Union in Europe, jumped off a plane and basically into a Tigers jumper 1 week later.

It would have been a terrible idea to put Lote at the back straight away.

Now if we moved him after Moltzen went down, and given him time, perhaps there might have been a chance of making fullback position his own.

Why don't we give John grant he scored heaps of tries when he played union and his defense was good. He is the fastest player in the nrl and he is 105kg he would be a weapon

To be honest I would probably have Koroiebete at 3 if he was available. He is that good and in my opinion is a far better winger than Simona (I think he is a good centre).

Koroiebete has the one thing we are lacking on the wing and that is pace and he has plently of it.

to be honest i dont care whether he gets a go or not but im hoping late this year or next year he gets a go. i dont really care, But its time to concentrate on the West Tigers not on 1 player

No, theres too many death riding him, along with Sheens, Moltzen, Marshall, Farah, Blair, Fulton, Heighington and Humphreys. The masses are very unhappy indeed and someone has to pay, may as well be an Ex Rugby player, historically the most convenient target. Theyr'e soft you know, so soft that none of them would last 10 seconds with Matt Johns

Has a reserve grader ever had so many threads started about him in this place?

Has anyone seen him play? And YouTube highlights don't count.
