"Give me a crack" - Josh Drinkwater

Its not a good look , but if he thinks he is at the Last Drinks Saloon as far as his NRL career is concerned I don't blame him for trying either

Bloody splinters

If he says he's ready for first grade at the club that's currently paying him = no probs. He's not doing that though… This isn't like your representative hypothetical scenarios....this is different. This is employment

Pro footy players let their footy do the talking

But the thing is Ink he wants to be a pro footy player, he is not currently.

He came here from another club for a crack at 1st grade. He will leave this club soon for another crack.

He is not tied to this club emotionally in any way.

Its like the batsman thats travel from state to state looking to raise their chances of making the national team.

He is saying he wants to play in the NRL. Thats his goal.

His goal is not to play reserve grade for Wests Tigers.

Like Happy said he is in the last chance saloon. He is not going to sit quiet.

Im not saying its right from a club point of view. However from his point of view its right.

Whats has he got to lose he is sitting behind 2 hyped up Teens that he will never play in front of here.

I admire someone like that. He doesn't say anything at all out of order. He is just saying I'm backing myself and ready to play 1st grade.

Its actually sad from our clubs point of view that he says if there are any clubs out there come and get me.

Confirms what we have always known about this club

Its a closed shop, for a boys club, like you and happy have said many times.

Ado-Carr will definitely become a quality first grader. He has speed to burn, a definite x factor and I like his competitive spirit. Also, he loves and wants to play for the Tigers. It's lunacy that he's not being picked and that he might be allowed to move on. The Tigers really are dysfunctional in every way at the moment.

What we want…. and what we can have... Sometimes very different things.

If his footy was good enough he'd be an NRL playerplayer.

It obviously isnt

Whats he got to lose Ink??

Thats why he is speaking out.

Thats why Chee Kams old man had a rant on facebook.

Soon it will be JAC.

They figure they are no hope here. Thats what Wests Tigers has become. Its a closed shop.

JAC, Chee Kam etc they may as well go down swinging. Put themselves out there for another club.

Why on earth would they want to hang around this boys club that is Wests Tigers?

First grade are on a 6 match losing run and were beaten by 60 on the wk end yet no changes.

Good on him I say. I don't even think he is a great player. However he can tackle and has a decent kicking game which is a mile better then what our current Number 7 is doing,

He lose's his integrity begging on a reserve grade website.
News to me Chhee kams old man's been crying… Has he been reading the forum? Maybe he now has an inflated opinion of his son reading all the calls for his promotion

I seem to recall Lazarus' mum, and yilleens missus having a whinge on the net as well.
Where are they now?

Not the way to go about things

You forgot Delouise's girlfriend!

I know these players are not world beaters.

It would be fine to sit back and laugh if we were a winning club that makes finals. "Look at these fools big noting themselves" Were better then them.

However were not, were a joke as a club. We have not made the finals in 5 years yet we never make any changes. Mud sticks and some of these guys probably go around telling other players "don't go to them you will never get a crack its a boys club"

Whether these players are good or not whats the culture at the Wests Tigers?

Its a culture of no accountability.

Your either in the click or your not.

You reckon Drinkwater wouldn't do as good a job as Brooks at the moment. Even if he could defend his own try line he would be in front.

From what I read a while a go, Chee-Kam was only signed for us for one year to help Manly with their salary cap issues then he will be back with Manly next year.

Maybe if we get badly beaten again this week then Taylor or whoever is coach will then have to bring in changes like Drinkwater, JAC and Chee-Kam.

If he would've said "I hope JT was watching, coz I think I have something to offer OUR NRL squad" that's great. But saying he just wants a game anywhere, shows that rightly or wrongly he's not committed to this club or his teammates this year. It's just a bad look.

I could sympathise with Chee Kam's old man if Chee Kam had played 100+ games, because you could probably make a case. How do you make a case when you're at your 3rd club and played about 5 games? Maybe you're better of asking "is my good enough?" And getting opinions from emotional supporters who are blaming everyone and everything and will cling on to whatever hope of change they can, including career reserve graders like your son, probably aren't the best people to listen to.
