thanks James, about time you spoke from the heart about the club you supposedly love. Madge needs the media's backing because he's the only one that'll fix this rabble, appreciate you finally coming to the party.

Tigers hierarchy need to put their faith in the coach and extend him ASAP. I’m a long time paying member and I love this club. But enough is enough. If the players can’t handle being dropped and made accountable then it’s time to move them on and show them the club have the coaches back on this. Player power needs to be killed of and unless it is, we will continue watching other teams play semis year in year out.

Especially with it being such a bog average playing group

Exactly right. Over paid underachievers is a perfect description of 80% of our roster.

I’m sick of seeing articles about “wanting to have a competitive roster”. I remember Marina Go saying the same thing.

Something has to change and it’s not the coach. Maybe it’s the CEO.

Hooper used the phrase "accepting mediocrity" in the article. It is possible that Hooper has 5 accounts on this forum and uses this phrase as a user to stir up the users into posting information that he can write about.

Anyone that has used the phrase in the past has just been outed as a fake Hooper account.

Guilty, but sorry, not a fake Hooper.

The first i have heard that we are after Tamou. I'm thinking Hooper is a major contributor on the signings suggestion and rumour page. C'mon Hoops whats your handle on the forum.

I know a lot of people are saying Tamou is too old and not deserving of a 3 yr contract (I agree 2 yrs would be great, but if it takes 3 so be it.
However I liken the signing of Tamou to that of Brent Kite by Penrith from Manly, he was signed to replace Petro Cinoreceva who was a big recruit in terms of culture change for the Panthers and Kite carried on that culture.

Edit.
Was 32 and signed on a two year contract with Penrith Panthers.
Played a total of 25 games, and led the Panthers to their first premlinary final since 2003.
Retired the following year.
Tamou is playing well still mind you and ***isn’t a player who relies on power or speed to excel.***

Oh thank god, what would we do with a player with power or speed?

Let hom leave at the 1st sign of trouble to Parra

This squad that Madge has to turn into NRL standard players are better off playing Xbox and PS ...only having to use their fingers and hand to get a result from is about the most they could come up with ....having to use their legs, smarts and body is far beyond their capabilities...

That's exactly what a fake Hooper would say :grinning:

The solution is a pineapple

As long as the Club is backing the coach i really don't care the rest of the stuff with Brooks and Tamou is all just rumours.
Madge has made the tough call on Benji and the club has backed him, Benji seemed a tad sheepish tonight on NRL360 although they were trying to press for more information.
One thing he did note was that he was not the only player leaving looks like if you have not got a contract its bye bye maybe part from 1 or 2 players.
