Which one? I remember a specific game, scores were locked, after the siren and Lote had to kick it from the sideline to win. He kicked it so wide of the goal he almost hit the corner post.

I remember Halligan saying he never practised from the sideline, just focused on those from 10m in from touch and around the post. Maybe Benji needs to do this. I know everytime he and Covell have one of those in between kicks im never confident.

For anyone mentioning Lote, i dont think that will work, if he was behind Beale in the kicking he cant be much good. Beale is a terrible goal kicker.

:laughing: Yeh dont give it to Lote, he goalkicked in that 02 series and from memory he kicked at about 30-40% lol
 
Tuqiri's stats don't look too flash.

For Brisbane he kicked 18 from 28 (64%).
For Queensland he kicked 4 from 9 (44%).
For the Waratahs he kicked 1 goal. I don't have stats on how many attempts he had.
 
I remember being at a SOO game when he kicked 0/4\. I think it finished 16-16… I'd rate Marshall ahead of Lote as a kicker.

if u could remember..how old was lote at the time? i remember seeing him nail a kick from 48m out in union. was a great effort!
 
Keep Benji there I think, he nails some great goals every now and again but he cannnot stay consistant for some reason maybe too much pressure sometimes. Hope he can work it out in the off season.

there are too many times he missed them that cost us games though… kids in under 18s can kick from the side line.. so someone earning $400k a year (guessing) should be kicking them alot better.

i remember moltzen kicking and he seemed alright. benjis better of spending time practicing the rest of his kicking, he's starting to strike them incredibly well.

that's what my dad says.. would sure make games more interesting if instead of having professional goal kickers, rules had try scorers attempting to convert there own try
 
benji not kicking for nz at the mo and quoted as saying something like he has enough to think about
also, the sideline kicking was ok it was the easier kicks he'd stuff up: we need a new goalkicker, maybe Lote …
