Goal Kicker?

Sorry if this has been discussed already guys… If so can someone point me in the right direction?

But with Moses signing with Parra for next year and asking for a release... If he is granted one in the coming weeks who would be our first choice goal kicker? I think Lawrence has kicked for us in the past hasn't he? Is there someone obvious who I'm not thinking of?

Haven't even thought about it, but it's a good question. Maybe Rankin will play 5/8?

NO! specialist half or 5/8 please who can kick. Rankin would be a step back.

5/8 is his position.

You missed "specialist" a great 5/8 that can partner Brooks. Ideally widdop.

Widdop next year. If Moses goes this year., there's probably no other options. Especiallly given he's a goal kicker. Wouldn't be surprised if that is why he"s on the extended bench this week.

I would suggest if Moses is released this year, then Teddy is the man to take over the duties. Next season, well that will depend whether we get Widdop or Johnson.

What if Teddy leaves as well?

Please stay Teddy, please 😛ray:

I really don't care how many on here tell me I'm not in the real world …however ...here goes...

Rankin is a half and played many games in that position,he has proven he can kick goals and by sticking my head on the chopping block...everyone on here that wishes badly of Jordan,he has been playing FG in an unfamiliar role, that being wing,he tries his best and sometimes doesn't seem to be an NRL player....however he could do the job for the rest of the year in the halves and kick goals,we just haven't seen him in that role at NRL level yet so we shouldn't judge him purely on his games played out of position..everyone deserves to be judged on the particular role they have played for most of their careers,in all fairness Jordan has been shuffled around more than most and I for one would love to see him in the halves as a back up...just trying to be fair to the guy,he does try his best and you never here a bad word about him other than on here with the daily punters.l

Brave man TT. Dont necessarily agree, but admire you openly supporting the much maligned Rankin.

While I agree that Rankin should be judged once he has the chance to play in his preferred position, I think I'd have JLJ playing 5/8 before him… Only thing is as you said Rankin can kick goals... Bit of a predicament to have.
