goal kicker

Guess we have Sezar who would be prime he is a 75-80% kicker.

Just don’t let Sezar kick 10-15mtrs either side of the posts.

Then we have Api, Bud and that’s really it. One big area of concern especially for 25 onwards.

Wests Tigers lacking in this dept. Who was our last sharp shooter? Not shower.
Very lacking and have been for years. We just continue to try and manufacture goal kickers without success.
Used to have a policy of goal kicker first, player later eg Killeen, Conlan and Caine are 3 who spring readily to mind( all buried in No 5 jumper).
Now I know you need more than that these days but it seems like it’s never a high priority for us.

Almost definitely will be Sezer.

Kicked at 82% during his previous stint in the NRL.

Was only kept out of the starting goal-kicking spots at Canberra and Leeds by two of the best goal-kickers in the world at the time (Jarrod Croker and Rhyse Martin).

I do recall a startling example of Balmain's previous policy of selecting a goalkicker first and the player secondary, as alluded to by Hal. Wayne Miranda played on the wing for Balmain playing in 91 games from 1978 -1983. Wayne kicked 252 goals for the tigers and was the clubs 5th highest points scorer. But in 91 first grade games on the wing Wayne scored 12 tries for the Tigers. This stat is not in any way intended to detract from Wayne's efforts as a first grade player for Balmain. It is just a prime example of how the club valued the importance of a gun goal kicker during those days.

Also a good swimmer and water polo player from memory.
