I was going to post in the Mormon Risk thread but thought better.

IMO there is no god, no devil, nor heaven nor hell etc. If there was a god he's not omnipotent because he can't beat the evil in the world that kills so many innocents. Either that or he is a prick who allows the evil to run amok.

what proof is there that God exsists except stories from a book? quite frankly there is more proof that aliens exsist then there is that god does,but some ppl think your crazy if you believe a in aliens and those same ppl won't batter an eyelid if you believe in God.BTW i am not a Scientologist :laughing:
 
ha! It's 2011, i think religion has gone well past its used by date.

but i tell ya what, if anyone can give just 1 piece of evidence that god exists, i'll investigate it myself and might change my tune, but until then….just all stories in a book written hundreds of years after some showman known today as Jesus walked the earth.

So there's the challenge. The burdon of proof is on the believer not the person that thinks its rubbish, so show me the evidence.
 
I used to walk down to the cliffs near where i lived, look out over the ocean, watch storms roll in over the horizon.
Something greater than us created all of this…..whoever, whatever he/she/it is...thats my god.

I'm an affirmed athiest, however I respect everyone's religious beliefs on the condition that they aren't infringing upon my freedom to express what I think.

God hates religion too, BTF. Religion is a man-made tradition - it has nothing, whatsoever, to do with God. The fanatics will always try and convince us that they do what they do and say what they say in the name of God, but it's really in the name of their own ideology. You only have to read about the life of Jesus in the Gospels to see that religion has nothing to do with the one and only true God :wink:
 
maybe the being that people call jesus was a mature soul from somewhere else who came to earth to try to help mankind. i dont believe he was god though. i dont believe god incarnates on earth or any other planet.

Yeah im with you on that.Each to their own though.
Dont like when they knock on peoples door cause they are trying to force it down your throat…...its doesnt work with me but they do try and dont take a no until you say it several times.
 
The funny thing is that atheists don't go door knocking or pestering. No war has been fought on the theme of my god is better than your god.
Atheists just sit back and say, after a polite yawn, I don't believe.
