Who are some players you think could easily step up to a starting position in first grade & succeed?

Personally, I feel like Tim Simona is too good for NSWCUP.
Has played a couple first grade games and never disappointed.
Would love to see him full time in the top squad week in week out.

From other teams,
An old favourite - Geoff Daniela.

I hate him so much - Marvin Filipo.
It's weird, he's been around a long time and has played hardly any first grade.
Surely this is his last year before he disappears into obscurity.

A lot of players like this kicking around in NSWCUP with all the skills and potential but over looked all the time.

What happened to Nu Akeripa?

He was pretty poor when he had a chance in FG.
He killed NYC though and was amazing in the Samoa Vs Tonga game recently.

I agree though.

Tim Lafai is also too good for NSWCUP.
Wish we'd sign him.

Along with Pritchard, Eastwood, Kasiano & Taupau

A good use for the State Cup in terms of recruitment is picking up a handful of just solid workers who can handle the step up to FG if required but really add to the club dynamic as well.

People like Lee Bennett was for the club

i dont watch much state cup, but over the last couple of weeks, i've been a staunch supporter of simona as well… however, his defense iirc when he played a couple of NRL games was not first grade standard... he got pushed over and smashed all the time in defense

his attack and left hand off load were very good though

reddy however, had tremendous attack and defense in the city country game though... would not mind lawrence being dropped for reddy- very underrated imo
