Going to Video Ref

Had an interesting conversation with a good mate of mine at Work Today and we were discussing things that have changed our game like no Shoulder Charges , No fisticuffs etc.

He reckons that we go to video Ref at every possible opportunity we can and the reason he reckons is Sponsorship , he says " you notice every time we go to the Video Ref to check whatever TRY ? there is always a Kentucky sign with $9.95 Tuesday Night thing before they show the green light or the red light".
He makes a valid point i reckon the NRL will never tell the Public that obviously but i tend to agree with it .

What are your thoughts Ladies and Gents?

Heard a caller on TalkinSport yesterday bring this up.

He was saying the FTA games the refs go to VR more than Fox games.

Sounds to me like his hats on too tight

He needs to go to the shop to re-supply his tin foil….

We go the the video ref more times than not cause the idiots with the whistle more often have NFI...

Sounds to me like his hats on too tight

He did quote figures though, which if anywhere near accurate is very alarming. It would not surprise me if there was some essence to to his claims, as the games do seem to go longer on FTA than the Foxtel ones, often going past the two hour time slot.

Yep I think your friend is right, FT. Next, they'll be stopping the game completely every 5 minutes to show the ads they play on telly to everyone around the ground as well :unamused:

The end result is that we have a stop , start spectacle now that is slowly killing our game we have all learned to love and be passionate about.
