Good, Bad and the Ugly

Awesome win today!

The Good:

1\. Teddy - What a talent! He always competes and looks to be our most potent weapon in the backs.

2\. Brooks - So happy for the kid. He will have games like that and games like last week, but slowly, he will become more consistent I'm sure. He's a true playmaker!

3\. Nofo!!! - He's a beast! but equally as safe in defense and under the high ball.

4\. Richards - His kicking again helped us out and is a proven finisher.

5\. Forwards - Taupau!!! and Patterson played especially well - I'm glad Patto is living up to expectations as he's a very talented footballer.

6\. Anasta - Credit where credit is due. He played well today and showed his skill with the cut-out to Richards for his second.

7\. Defence - Defence held strong and we looked aggressive. We need to take that into Friday night to have any chance of beating the Rabbits.

Bad:

Same mistakes as last week except our end of set plays which improved. We actually went off the boil there for a bit. Had the Titans capitalised on some of our mistakes, that could have been a very different ball game. We need to give up the cheap penalties and not throw the ball away as much and that would have been a tidy performance. The Bunnies won't be handing the ball over as easily as the Titans did.

Ugly:

Lulia - I'm not sold on poor Keithy. In a team that totally dominated, he looked pretty quiet and out of place. Looking forward to Timmy Simona coming back into the side.

All in all, I think all are happy with the win! Let's enjoy it!

Watched the game on telly only, but feel that Lulia played pretty well. Comfortable in defense and allowed our wingers to shine in attack

I think Lulia will be probably get a game next week with Lawrence likely to see some time out with the hamstring injury.

He came up with an impressive run or two but at this stage if all were fit and well, he would probably find himself behind Lawrence and Simona.

Brilliant win today. A prime example of what happens when you play for 80mins as a team. The pigs did the hard yards and the backs excelled on the back of that. If we can play consistent footy, we will make the 8, if not, bottom 3 beckons.

Tedesco, Brooks and Farah all had blinders, but I think a special mention should go out to some other players. Woods nearly cracked 200m. Blair made over 150m (hasn't happened since joining the club), worked great in defence and ball playing around the middle.Thompson played very well IMO, hit hard and ran hard. Patterson had a great game. Taupau, Gavet, Ava and Sue bent the line every hit up. Nofo broke tackles and was safe at the back. Richards kicked and finished well and Keithy was good in his first game back in the heat cracking 100m off the bench.

So overall a very good TEAM performance and a great confidence booster going into the Bunnies game next week.

I'm certainly no Lulia fan but I think it's a bit nasty to single him out as our only Ugly for the game. My ugly for today would be that we played in that heat and now have a short turnaround against souths on Friday night. Whoever scheduled that one didn't do us any favours.

Not much of a fan of lulia . My back line would be
1\. Teddy
2.nofo
3\. Richards
4 . Simona (if fit )
5\. Koro or mr t
6\. Austin
7\. Brooks
But I think anasta will be 6\. Loved tapau coming off the bench with gavet

Lulia played fine today but yes he doesnt seem to add much. Has a surprising lack of acceleration for a first grade footballer and his hands arent great.

The improvement in defence without Koro was obvious today. He has a long way to go to be a comfortable FG winger. And Richards needs to stay on the wing, crazy to slot him at centre.

Agree with this.
I hate to harp on about this but 3 of our first choice centres play on the left.
The combo of brooks teddy Simona Paterson and patty on the left could see us scoring quite a few over there.

Lulia was brought in as a specialist defender but haven't quite noticed it yet- however the less you get noticed in defence the better I guess.
