Good work boys

Just thought I'd make a thread to congratulate the effort put in by a few of the fellas tonight.

Blake Ayshford had a career best game as did Robert Lui and Simon Dwyer. Murdoch was put in an incredibly tense situation and while being a little shaky did look solid. Gareth Ellis, Bryce Gibbs, Keith Galloway and Todd Payten were tremendous. Gibbs best game ever. Fulton, Lui, Ayshford and Gibbs defense was huuuuuuuuuuuge.

Nobody really let us down except for the Heighington brain explosion. He had a pretty good game up until then.

Face it, if Benji didn't go down we would have nailed one of those field goals. It was just hard luck.

I am so impressed by the way Ayshford has grown this season. Very well done.

x3 but I wasn't too impressed with Murdoch. Looked a li'l clumsy.

Couldnt agree more. Its refreshing to find someone who is happy with how the boys played.
I dont think you could fault one player tonight, they all played their hearts out.

HELLO, we lost didnt you watch the second half? with canberra up we could be packing our bags.Pat them on the back all you want we bloody lost when we were in MORE than a bloody winning position. And I dont blame Sheens we blooody lost it when we should have won it 32 bloody seconds to go with our feed thats what bloody lost us the game

I don't care. They played good. The Roosters fluked a few things and got home. We went down in the 18th minute of Golden Point without Ellis and Marshall.

yeah good post .. and im not blaming the boys for a second …..
but datey ,,,,,justify to me why you would leave an impact forward on the bench for 72 minutes when you had two forwards playing in the side who have just comeback from layoffs .... if sheens isnt to blame then who is ....the boys played their guts out ... but the use of the interchange helped the fatigue factor......

i thought our boys played really well no stupid drop balls and (mostly) no stupid passing. i was really proud and i thought we really deserved it and heigno should have just picked up the balllllll but they played well, when we wento to extra time i knew we weren't going to win with no benji.

Gibbs probably had his best defencive game he has ever had, maybe sheens wanted IMPACT from fafita we were on top after all, sure maybe moors or makata would have been a better option that Ben M

Going home gutted to the max , on the train back to Strathfield , but thinking
That was one of the best hames I gave seen he West Tigers play….Awesome effort by all , but Blake was a class above the rest of the team in attack @ his defensive was also fantastic.

Unbelievable game.

This will be big for the young guys, Lui, Fafita, Ayshord, BM-M & Dwyer

Dunno about this year but this game could hopefully be a springborad for the future

like most i feel shattered, but the effort they put in tonite u cant ask for more, feel ripped off to
by the officials, couldnt get a penelty in first half for atlest 30mins.the constant offside ,slowing the play the ball
they were getting away with alot the roorters.we didnt get a good share with the refs,so in my opinion the effort of
the team and the way i belive they were harshly done by with the refs it made me proud of being a tigers fan tonite
for the way they went out there and performed for their fans and themselves…

WELL DONE BOYS :sign:

Tigers 1st half was the best 40 minutes I have seen from the club in years, the second half their was plenty of effort but absolute rubbish option taken time and time again. Brain dead options taken by experienced players. I admired the way the chooks hung in their but really if we had a smart campaigner calling the shots we would have won by plenty. So many brain dead plays when all they needed to do was keep it simple. They will not beat anyone after that effort, they have emptied the tank.

That was an EPIC game for Wests Tigers return to finals football….

Everyone turned up and gave it there all for 100mins of football....nothing was left in the tank...they played there guts out and did the jersey PROUD...every single one of them....

Great work boys...

I am glad some of you can finally see the qualities that Blake brings to the team - (and has done so in the lower/junior grades especially when the chips are down).

I rate the kid very highly and he proved me right tonight - and he has done so previously without specifically taking the focus!!!

Even MacDougall has finally given him some credit!!!!!!!!!

And if you cannot see the future of Rob Lui - you don't deserve to watch the game - let alone support this club!!!

Agree mate. The quality overall was top notch. The final result is not deserver. I'm gutted, but immensely proud of the boys. Hope we get a second bite.

Agreed, Geo. And while we're giving raps, how good was the Tigers crowd? We must have out numbered rent-a-crowd rorters by 4 to 1.
