Got the points but far from excited with that win

We did the job tonight in a pretty poor game of footy all round. Good defence in the second half by the boys after absorbing wave upon wave of attack. Penrith were pretty bad we were slightly better.

Certainly not excited with that win though…goal line defence still disgraceful. However it was great to see that Lawrence can still compete at this level. He has been shocking this year but tonight was a solid 8/10 for him.

Can we make the 8? I still have massive doubts....

well, we are in the 8 after that win, it's whether or not we can either move further up or even hold onto it

Well it really should have been 26-6 (if moltz takes that bomb in the 1st half & isn't obstructed in the 2nd). We're def not at our best but some positive signs from Lawrence, BMM & benji (he actually ran a bit tonight).
Fulton, Robbie, woods & Ryan are the backbone of this team & with Ellis coming back hopefully we'll keep improving.

agreed not a contenders type of win , but penrith did have a huge percentage of the ball.our missed tackles are the telling stat to come out of the game .We cant miss mid 30s and compete with the gun sides .
BUT im happy to take the two and move on to next week .

I disagree with this thread as you can see with my thread. I think that was a quality game and Penrith really put up a stern test. You are all being confused because they were in Panthers jerseys and it was unusual.

All you can do is win I guess , far from impressive a few blokes should be looking for a new profession after tonight

Fulotn ,Bell ,Lawrence were impressive as was Keefy when he came back on

To be honest, I'm not really fussed. The Tigers needed to win, first and foremost. Secondly, come away without any major injuries which they also appeared to do as Galloway played in the second half. Thirdly, Blair and Ellis are back next week and hopefully the confidence builds.

I agree. It was a high quality game.

Being ralistic to make the numbers in the 8 and being bundled out 1st week of the semi why bother . On this form no chance for the premiership .People might say yeah Ellis and Blair to come back but they where there in the opening 6 rounds of the year and what did we do ? won 1 out 6 games . We need an absolute miracle to do something special this year . I'm holding in hope (just being honest ) and not one eyed.

I thought it was a reasonable quality game, some good and some bad, but I reckon our game was a similar quality game to the NQ v Storm game.
happy enough without being over the moon.

A win is a win at the moment we needed it as if all the other 7 teams in the 8 are in top form lol. Well some are and some are not lol.

Never thought Id agree with you but I think youre right.

We only are just managing to get there….wether we make the 8 or not I dunno....but once ur there you just need your best players on the park, some good form and some luck for a few weeks and you have a premiership.

I hate the salary cap....I miss teams dominating and the excitement it brought when they got knocked off.
This ''everyone can beat anyone on their day'' footy is crap, its a TV product now.....its not reall footy, its dissillusioning imo...Im finding the footy less interesting lately

Was a tight game. Defense alot better. If you guys expect us to go from crap house to world beaters gotta be joking.

This is step one lets see what happens next week
