Gould, Johns and Fittler are Outright terrible. Not just last night but all year. Do nine care, no way they have you basically locked in, and it’s the old story bad publicity is better than no publicity.

How Gus could come out and say Penrith were the better side in the first half is madness. Anyway if you think they we’re bad last night, wait for the SOO that’s when they will take it to a lower level..minus Fitler

sorta agree with penrith seeming to be better in the first half....they appeared to be doing a heap of up tempo high energy stuff, while actually not delivering anything of substance.

Melbourne defended well (like always), and the few opportunities they had they made penrith pay. Penalty try, couple of penalties then an intercept and it was game over. It came down to professionalism and keeping cool and calm IMO.

Can’t agree at all

But that’s all invalid unless you actually post points on the board. Melbournes defense was the stand out to me in the 1st half

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game where the team losing 22-0 at half time is the better team, and yesterday was no different. I thought storms slackened off a fair bit with 20 mins to go which made the game seem close

Agree
It’s as if in the last 20 mins the Storm got bored if that makes sense ?
But they knew they could hold out the Pamfers .
As for Pamfers being the better side early that’s laughable..
Gould should be in a nursing home .

Dont think Storm slackened off last 20 minutes, just appeared that the game was getting managed into the Panthers favour, Firstly Panther first try was a bunker howler, Panthers then seem to get alot green decisions go for them, the two players sinbinned, though deserving of a penalty, not sure they should of been sin binned, especially when Panther players had done the same, and no sin bins.

Storm got a free ride from Sutton the whole 1st half, the game was gift-wrapped for them nicely until half time: the game was effectively over. They got away with plenty.

Storm could have won 91-3 wouldn't have mattered ....the refs and the NRL and News Ltd would have got blamed

So with the gushing of Gus, the coaching of Ivan and the rub of the green from Sutton towards the end, Penrith still couldn't put the Storm away.
What they should have done is gotten some advice from Daniel Andrews, the one person who knows how to shut Melbourne down.

Really , what decisions went Storms way that was not deserved in the first half. Certainly seemed to have luck, but correct decisions. Even with the Smith try, Sutton said no try, bunker ruled try , which was correct.

One thing you can say about Smith if he retires is he didn’t want any fanfare. Him being coy makes me think he is going around again, but is still in the middle of negotiating a new deal. It’s the only thing that makes sense imo.

I can't find the match stats anywhere but the refereeing was one-sided as buggery in the 1st half, don't think the Panthers got any 6-agains and only 1 penalty in the 1st half? Plenty of interpretations of the rules went Storms way IMO.

You must be a Gus Gould fan. Penrith received 3 six again calls in the first half to Storm nil. Plenty of interpretations went Storms way, as they were correct. Storm had two players put to the bin, when Penrith players did just as many foul plays in defending situations , no sin bins, they were also allowed a blantant shepherd, nothing to see here.

Gus is a mouthy slob, no fan here.
Sutton giving Penrith the rub of the green in the 2nd half was insignificant, he'd pretty much ridden the Storm to the finishing post by halftime. Cheating dog.
Won't go out of my way to watch that game again but everything was dished up to the Storm on a silver platter early.
Erase from memory and bring on next year.

Really , what decisions went Storms way that was not deserved in the first half. Certainly seemed to have luck, but correct decisions. Even with the Smith try, Sutton said no try, bunker ruled try , which was correct.

Sutton referred every Storm try to the bunker, and only awarded one try as a try.
Then gave three 6 again calls in the first half to Penrith, and none to Storm, and you have the gawl to say Sutton served the game to Storm on a silver platter. Really you sound like Gus.
Yes I agree with one thing you have said Sutton was a cheating Dog, for the whole game, and it just shows how bad the Panthers actually played
