Why was there a Rolling Stones tribute? what does that have to do with the NRL?

I mean look at previous years - hoodoo gurus, wes carr, barnsey….we have far more talent in this country then these clowns.

Does pre-game entertainment even matter? Is anybody not going to watch the game because the entertainment sucks? On the flipside, will anybody tune into the game soley for the entertainment?

The NRL are hardly perfect but this idea that the AFL does everything better is, in my opion, misplaced. The AFL have a long track record of having has beens as their major act. Does the name Irene Cara ring a bell?

Yeah those 5 years of success showed in the 5 minutes she was out there. That was organised with a weeks notice. The AFL has us covered for pre match entertainment every year.

I think the NRL needs to change its pre match entertainment focus.
Rather then just get some has beens (I know Jessica Mauboy isn't a has been and she is probably Aus biggest popstar at the moment), they should change their focus to the game more, celebrate the past, bring some more legends to the ground and tell some of the great stories. Focus also more on the season that has just passed as well.
I think fans would enjoy that a lot more then some musicians that I'm sure most either don't like or don't know.
