I think that front loading is the reason brooks and Moses would be in our top 5 with Tedesco joining woods and farah. But since Tedesco hasn't been announced yet, I have a feeling it will be registered after the nines so that Lawrence is considered in our top 5 for 2015.

See this is exactly where the salary cap gets complicated as I wouldn't be surprised if Lawrence is on a back loaded contract, now if you then had Mose and Brooks on front loaded contracts you can see how quickly the cap space can be taken up. This is why I believe we were shedding players at the end of last year and why JT has stated that there will be no major signings for a couple of years. It appears that the salary cap management at the club has been a mess and we are in the process of fixing this. Now we haven't even discussed incentives that players may have had built into their contracts which also make it more complicated, add to that concessions and third party agreements and the salary cap is a minefield.

I'm 99% certain that our salary cap was a mess and this is the reason that the new board and Jason Taylor need to be given time to fix the club and should not be judged on instant success on the field.

Yeah no problem, I will do it for the next 3 years but I want a front loaded contract, I want my money in the back in case I get RSI in the wrist and need to retire. Cough Cough Mark Gasnier.

Actually I think he was on a back loaded contract, but my joke is better the other way.

Did anyone hear whether the training jersey was released as per Grant's narrative, didn't realise it was possible to have another version of the jersey in the current range, interested to see what it looks like?
