Grant Ponders NRL Future

Maybe the "what's next for me" attitude rather than a team focus is why he is in state cup. Reynolds was great on 360 about potentially playing for his spot. Different attitude.

My opinion, we can move on from Tim. He seems like a good bloke but 'stop gap' at best now. Happy to have him kicking around the ISP on a lower wage but any more than that - see ya buddy, appreciate your service!

Pretty sure I read something similar to this in the preseason.. Probably won't be here come June 30 is my guess

I can honestly see him back at the panthers fairly quickly because of McKendrys(spelling) injury, hopefully get a reasonable back with pace in exchange.

Would be good to get the WZ brothers back together in an exchange!
I think Penrith will come calling. I can’t see McKendry coming back anytime soon from a third ACL injury.

Part of a bigger picture at this stage of his career. good back up and i am afraid he needs to understand this, as far as the tigers are concerned

Grant is a good Prop to have playing ISP… When he is required to come up, he wont let you down.

His comments sound like he wants to keep playing NRL in the future, but is concerned with playing reggies his contract value might be significantly lower [not sure how low it is now] for his next contract.

Its a tough scenario, but one that is in the tigers court to control. I sense we will need to make a decision of letting one go after this year between Grant, Sue or Felise. All 3 can play NRL and will want that opportunity elsewhere if it doesnt come at Concord.

We have all been harping on about how good it is to have quality depth. At present our frontrow is the cornerstone to our recent sucess, sadly injuries are always around the corner, so thats why we need to keep Grant and like all the others running around in reserve grade, keep them motivated and happy

Agreed. How many teams are struggling upfront? Player managers are going to make the most of this and get the best deals for clients. I don't think it will stop with Grant. Sue playing ISP will have been noted by many teams and acquiring him will be seen as an easy fix from a struggling club. Rather than resist, we should see what players will be released to us and I don't mean players of the quality of Nathan Ross.

Read the same before , if he wants to go , give us your ticket back and see you later , he is an ok player but not what you would fight for , solid ISP player now
