Great Selection Headache for Sheens

After the bye we will have Gibbs, Payten and Ellis back.

I suppose Schirnack, BMM and maybe Woods will make way for the above three.

If was coach I would pick Fulton at centre to mark Inglis, Moltzen to bench, Ryan dropped to State Cup and Fifita to State Cup.

Lote will be back for round 12 leaving Lawrence our only long term injury.

If Ellis is not 100% keep him in cotton wool as we now have players available.

Team

McKinnon
Brown
Fulton (for this game only to mark Inglis and Taylor)
Ashyford
Utai
Marshall
Lui
Galloway
Farah
Gibb
Ellis
Dwyer
Heightington

Bench

Moltzen
Woods
Payten
BMM/ Fifita

Any thoughts

Considering what Morris did to Fulton in the first round, I would hate to see him defending on Inglis. Not to mention the fact Fulton would have next to no experience defending in probably the hardest position to defend, against the world's best player in that position.

IMO, leave the backline as is, and just aim to control the ruck and Sandow.

i don't think fulton's defense is needed in the centres for Inglis.
Ayshford is more than capable in containing Inglis.

I cant wait to see what happens when Lote returns.
Will Brown move to centre or Moltzen keep his place?
Does Ryan drop back to state cup or does he take Utai place?

personally i think Sheens will drop Brown back to state cup & Ryan will be the new Fitzhenry of our club

You forgetting the night Ayshford and Daniela shut Inglis down with ease?

Very important to get everyone 100% fit for our charge into the backend of season. With our big early season injury toll we have been rushing players back only for them to submit to injury again. We can now afford to give them another 1-2 weeks to make sure they are right and to get everyone freshened up so we don't limp into the finals - we havent had this luxury since 2005.

Gibbs and Payten need to come back through the bench. Rest either Fifita (most probably) or Woods and maybe Dwyer. BMM needs some game time.

I think we need to stick with Moltzen and let him find his feet and get his confidence back. I know it is painful watching at the moment but he needs game time…

Just looking at this team....it maybe playing with fire to bring back so many players in the one week, given that BMM, Woods & Fulton have only recently come back. Maybe leave Fafita in and give either Gibbs or Payton another weeks rest or give Woods a week back in NSW Cup. If Ellis not 100% right, Dwyer comes back in, otherwise give him a weeks rest (he would have played city/country the week before anyway. Given he is so young and other players need gametime, a mid season freshen up might be handy.

Inglis is just a centre in the end. You shut down Luke and Sandow, how will Inglis get the ball? Dominate thier forwards again, get them fatigued, then pressure the playmakers and Inglis won't get any opportunities anyway.

Do you guys mean Bob Fulton at centre?
We have had enough of players playing out of position - Ayshford can handle Inglis as good as anyone.

id have marshall at centre before fulton. that way he can rush up before inglis even gets a start. switch moltzen into five eight..

but yeh, no way fulton at centre.

Thats it, get up and in early and cut em off…..inside defenders just need to work their freckles off, but weve done it before.

Some people don't really understand that just because your a good defender in the middle of the park it doesn't mean you can defend in the centres. Defending in the centres is a lot different. You obviously have never played the game.

Agree TIGER, defending in the centres is 95% positioning and decision making (when to come in, when to stay wide).
