Greg Bird infringement notice alleged urination police car

Every male has whipped it out and had a leak next to a tree or the like at some point in their life, especially when on the piss (pardon the pun). But how stupid and/or drunk do you have to be to do it right next to a police car, where the chances of getting caught are 100x greater.

My guess is if the police car wasn't there he probably wouldn't have done it at all! It would've been deliberate, I reckon. I'm sure the cops aren't his favourite people after some of the run ins he has had with them.

Mmm, he doesn't like coppers so he wee's on their car. Makes sense. I don't understand how he got caught.

I've got a question, is his wife the sheila that he glassed a few years back?

No, that woman returned to the USA shortly after he was found 'not guilty', she couldn't get out of OZ quick enough, is his new bride related to the Knights player Robbie Rochow?

Easy - tear up his NRL contract. We do not need Galahs.

He is a role model like it or not.

At the very least should never be allowed to play for Australia or SOO again.

Should have happened after the glassing.

Thank you Ink…I didn't think it was that hard to understand...

What you're saying about the journos has no relevance to people getting attacked for only reporting what they read. Why should they been insulted for only repeating what they had heard?

Oh goodness….'attacked' and 'insulted'? Wow, there really are some precious little flowers out there. Sad really.

Tell me about it. Just like the precious little flower whinging about animal cruelty in this thread, who if it wasn't the biggest racing day of the yr, probably wouldn't have said a word cos he wouldn't have had an audience.

Precious little flowers indeed.

Bird's official Penalty…

The Board of the Gold Coast Titans has approved sanctions to be imposed on Greg Bird and James Roberts as a result of significant brand and reputational damage suffered by the club arising from recent incidents of unacceptable public behaviour by both players.
>
In both cases the players breached the Titans Code of Conduct and the NRL Code of Conduct which they are legally bound to comply with at all times under the terms of their NRL playing contracts.
>
Titans Chief Executive Officer, Graham Annesley said today, “Whilst the circumstances of these incidents are serious enough alone to warrant club imposed sanctions, the details pale into insignificance compared to the damage done to the club’s standing in the community at a time when the Board and management are doing everything possible to rebuild the Titans brand and ensure the long term sustainability of the club.
>
“All players need to accept personal responsibility for their actions and recognise that incidents of this nature not only damage the reputation and commercial prospects of the club, but also bring the image of the NRL and the game of Rugby League into substantial disrepute”, Annesley added.
>
The Titans Disciplinary Committee gave both players the opportunity to explain their actions and whilst Greg and James expressed remorse, the committee formed the strong view that the damage inflicted on the club and the game leaves no alternative but to send a clear message that any reoccurrence may place the continuation of their contracts with the club in jeopardy.
>
The Board has approved the following sanctions:
Greg Bird
• A fine of $15,000 To be deducted from his 2015 salary
• Ineligibility for selection as team captain effective immediately
• Formal notice that any further breaches of the NRL Code of Conduct during the remaining term of his contract may be viewed as grounds for termination by the club
>
James Roberts
• A fine of $3,000 To be deducted from his 2015 salary
• An independent assessment to determine any required rehabilitation programs
• Formal notice that any further breaches of the NRL Code of Conduct during the remaining term of his contract may be viewed as grounds for termination by the club

Looks like the Titans are starting to get serious about the behaviour of some of their NRL players…

Hope other clubs follow suit.....

pHyR3, I don't think so,it is a personal infringement and should only affect his own salary, but the way the cap works, who knows…
