Groat!

Great game Groat. He was solid. Plenty of high quality tackles and solid hit ups for a young guy. He really rolled up the sleeves. His body is still developing so expect a bigger, stronger, faster Groat next season…. very exciting.

Interesting that Fafita's intensity has dropped off massively over the past few weeks. Hardly seen his famous fends or line breaks since just before his annoucement when he was probably still selling himself to jack up his market value.

Was really impressive - ran hard and tackled hard and in his first real FG game up in NQ was a great effort. I think Begovich from the 20s front row is a bloke with great potential too so we have some great young props coming through

He probably had a better game tonight then Woods has had all season, looks a real player of the future.

He did play well… but I thought Woods had a good game too. In terms of go forward... showed more then Fifita tonight.

Held is own, but unfair on him to judge him before he gets a full off season with top grade and gets a season under his belt, even if theyre positive judgements, if he continues to develop, he's a prospect, great size!!!

He reminds me of a young Skandalis, still remember his first (first grade) game in the pouring rain at Campbelltown. Pretty sure he played for most of the game though

Solid, good hit out.

Did his job but it would be a big ask to do it week in week out at this stage of his career. Limited bench minutes and time in NYC next season are probably what is best for his development.

But I guess you never know until it is tried

Great game.
Ran the hard, dirty metres. Played good minutes. Tackled well.
& at one stage took 2 hitups in a set of 6 coming off our line.

Top effort!
He and Woods will be a great combo with players like Ellis and Blair teaching them.

Agreed…first time I have seen him..he looked ok..again..we have to wait and see.

Really liked his willingness to get involved. He will get a lot of confidence out of that hitout.

WIth his size, attitide is everything, and he seems to have the right attitude. Certainly should be in the 17 next week regardless of Payten returning.

What an initiation to first grade that was !!! I think it was Maggies vs Penrith on a wet, cold cambo night and degenerated into all in brawls, head high tackles, send offs …..... you name it ..... what a game that was !!!

On Matt Groat .... this kid has the potential to be anything. I only saw him play one NYC game and I came away so impressed. He obviously impressed his coach as well, so much so, that he chose him on the bench for first grade ..... a wonderful achievement. With the right coaching and mentoring I believe Matt Groat could be an Origin player in the making.

Thats if NSW has a coach who will pick a front rower…
