not having a go at you but do we really wanna base a squad on "not that bad"

We need rep players or at least fringe rep players in positions like backrow and spine. You may not need marquee wingers, props, bench players and at a pinch even a centre (although centres are becoming more and more important each week imo) but those key positions you need more than "not that bad" IMO

If we could land one of Guerra, Jai Arrow, Elliott or Gav Cooper that'd be swell for our edge defence. I know Arrow plays lock but he's got the height/weight to make a shift to 2nd row if ET stays.

Good in theory … but realistically which superstars are interested in signing for the Tigers with all the mess thats gone on. To me 'not that bad' sounds a whole lot better than the squad and results we've had for the past few years. Sign a rep player every now and then, as Cleary has been doing, get a couple of seasons of finals footy, then rep players may want to play for us.

Most of the players we have signed this year are International or representative players.

Tigers currently have Joel Edwards starting in the back row and supporters think signing an origin back rower is a bad idea? Fans are great aren't they?

We had Lovett and Edwards starting backrow on friday night, that even for us is a new low, chuck in Rankin and JLJ as starting halves and we really stink it up.

When you spell it out like that, It's a modern miracle that we only had 36 put on us! Thank God Brisbane clocked off at the 55th minute mark

I totally agree, and I don't understand why they haven't signed Sam Burgess, Jason Taumalolo and Sonny Bill Williams to play back row next year. Coen Hess off the bench too.

What's the hold up with him making up his mind? You reported the Tigers made him an offer 2-3 weeks ago now.

Has offer from Titans and looking at ESL as well. Could of been waiting to see if he got selected for origin to up his price as well but I'm only guessing with that last part

Being a Queenslander, I imagine the Titans will be favourite?

thought he's the most ineffective member of the roosters pack tbh

but definitely an upgrade from the current

I actually think he's looked pretty decent. Eons better than Lawrence and Edwards/Lovett.

Anyone's better than those guys. We can do a lot worse than Guerra.

Spoke to my mate at the Roosters this morning. He said he hadn't heard anything re Guerra and Tigers.

As far as he had heard was looking like going over to the ESL

Yeah I agree, but I think we're in good hands with Cleary. Unfortunately 12 years of mismanagement can't be undone overnight. Cleary first needs to get rid of a lot of deadwood and change the culture. Once this happens the wins will slowly accumulate then the players will come.
It won't happen overnight but it will happen.
