Halatau Re-signs...

At least the club is trying to do something about it's depth in light of Taupau walking across the bridge.

We're in a huge spot of bother. Taupau had a none to subtle dig at Taylor and his coaching in his media release.

Did he ? Can you provide it here ?

Look Halatau, Simona, Ava all decided to stay under Taylor.

I would think the issues why Taupau left have very little to do with Taylor
1\. Yr 1 Money
2\. Yr 2 Money
3\. Yr 3 Money
4\. Yr 4 Money
5\. A club that is a better chance of winning a comp given past history.
6\. More Commercial opportunities outside his contract so more Money

The reason Halatau, Simona and Ava stayed was there wasn't Clubs lining up for there services.
Simona signed early on in the year before all the dramas happened.

There is no doubt that money is the key motivater in his change of Clubs but no one knows for certain whether Taylor being the Coach helped him wanting to move on?
I find it coincidental that his wanting a release with the Farah dramas.

It puts a sour taste in your mouth cause no Contract means nothing, if Tedesco asks for a release at the end of 2016? Will it mean he will get it ? Everyone else has :brick:

People look too much into things.

Marty's move was all about money and double what he would get with us (next season alone was 3-4times more).

I don't think he is worth that coin but good luck to him, huge huge pay rise and most people would move for what was offered.

Ava was actually being courted by the Storm and was a special guest at their first semi against the Roosters. Not to mention for months all you read on here was how the club needed to secure Ava's signature, now that they have its being downplayed because apparently no other team wanted him which is incorrect.

Congrats Dene, of all the players who earned their spot for next year you were top of the list.

Agree. He deserved an extension before Buchanan.

GNR….You failed to comprehend that post to begin with and made your own assumption what i might of been refering to , But i will explain it to you....

My reply to boonboon was : he is lead to believe that Halatau , Ava and Simona have stayed at our Club cause there is no problem with the Coach that could be the case ? but there is others factors that we don't know about for them hanging around?
A. wanting to play with there Mates regardless of Coach
B. Not having much choice for Employment
C. Other Clubs not interested in there services

Hence why i went on to say.......

There is no question in my mind that money is the key motivater in his change of Clubs but no one knows for certain whether Taylor being the Coach and the things that have happened? helped him wanting to move on and get out of all the Dramas that's been happening ?
I just find it coincidental that he wanted a release with the Farah dramas.

I don't know squat hence why my questions marks.....but i don't think these 3 Players would be in high demand from many Clubs IMO.

In saying all that i'm stoked all 3 are playing for our Club , i was refering to my reference in A. B. C.

Wests Tigers forward Dene Halatau says he's right where he wants to be after announcing a new contract extension that will keep him at the Club for another year.

Halatau has played a total of 226 NRL matches since making his first-grade debut in 2003, with more than 150 appearances for Wests Tigers — captaining the Club for the first time in his career this year in Round 11\. And with another season at Wests Tigers locked in, the 2005 premiership-winner says he's more excited than ever to be a part of the Club.

"I'm really excited about the guys in this squad," Halatau enthused. "A big reason for re-signing was wanting to be a part of these guys moving forward and some of that success.

"I'm always someone that thinks I can improve.

I've been around for a while but Every year I try and find something that I can work on and that I can improve on so that I contribute more for the team. Hopefully next year that's what I do — contribute a lot on the field — and hopefully we can get some success."

See Dene's full reaction and thoughts to his new deal at Wests Tigers in the video above.

+1\. Thought the cobwebs from the Cantebury days were apparent at the start, but have well and truely gone now.

Unlike a former player recently departed, Dene is not up himself and is capable of playing more than 20 minutes a game

Absolutely right Geo.

Was definitely bemoaning his return to Wests, but I'm first to put my hand up and say I was wrong.

A well deserved extension.
