Noticeable improvement in a very short time. Loving it.

Indeed, it makes you wonder how Cleary can fix up our achilles heel in just 3 weeks when Taylor couldn't do squat about it in over 2 years!

Not really. Cleary has gone for a traditional exclusive slide defence. Very few NRL teams use an exclusive slide defence these days. We have had to because our players kept making poor decisions using a press. Presumably Taylor believed, wrongly in hindsight, that the players would learn how to apply a press defence.

Anyway good call by Cleary to simplify our structure.

Didn't Tim Sheens Invent the Slide defense in the 80ss? it doesn't quite work today because there are to many more bigger guys. because they are at a advantage in todays game

Mckillrick on morris was a corker.

No way was that a penalty. Refs have gone soft. Even the commentators were saying it was fine.

Fox commentators were saying that you lift legs and you get penalised. When did that rule come into effect? That was a cracker of a tackle. Wasn't past horizontal.

Josh Jackson lifted Brooks in the second half and slammed him the exact same way Mckillrick did on J Moz. Lifting the legs isn't a penalty, just if the milks it and lies "motionless" like Morris did on the floor, there more likely to give a penalty. He was put onto his shoulder, never lifted past he horizontal, was really angry with that call.

That was a joke of a penalty wasn't it. Brooks didn't milk it and copped it like a man.

Is it just me or did it look like the dogs were milking the HIA system to rest forwards?

LOL, so much so Eastwood didn't want to go and was protesting to the trainer saying he'd hurt his leg….

Reckon they will get looked at after Sundays effort.

In the press conference Cleary pointed out that the team now understood they were fit enough, and previous issues in tapering away in games were a problem with mental application.

I felt vindicated hearing that as I've always thought it was the case, good to hear it acknowledged and thought others may have found it interesting.

It looked to me the players supposedly on the outer Kasiano, Eastwood, Reynolds helped us win that game. Honestly one of the worst games of football I have seen this year great to get the win but if we don't improve against the sharkskin we will get belted

I will never forget how dumb Eastwood is.
It's the 3rd tackle in a 7 tackle set, scores are 12-12 with about 5 minutes to go. They are right in front of the posts about 30 metres out and of all people Eastwood puts a kick in with no chase and it is easily dealt with by the tigers.

I have never seen a brain snap that bad before.

Who would,

All the tiger's fans went silent and had a little giggle (including me) when Eastwood made that dumb play.

But the tigers deserved the win and at least it gives us some hope of making the finals after a disastrous start to the season - especially off the field.

Our season looks back on track with a number of key players signing and finally sorting out the contracts for Tede$co and Wood$
