Halves quiet

Yeah, let's put Drinkwater in! Surely a reserve grade halfback is the answer to our problems. If we'd had him today, we would have won! It's not like we were playing the best team in the world or anything… :unamused:

I am surprised that we have completed 3 rounds and no one has asked for the coaches head to roll yet!!
Not even a leak to the press!!

Structure needs to come first. Once they master that, JT will let them play.

Thats how the Bunnies and Roosters did it. If its good enough for them.

krayola,Drinkwater is more than a reserve grader,he is a very capable half and should be given an opportunity in the NRL side, has flair and a good kicking game…

They have no start taking some hard hits. Once they do that and ask questions of the defence it will open up things for their outside men which will then in turn open things up for themselves.

I thought it was great experience for the halves. This year will be learning. I can't believe some of the trash talking on here against Moses and Brooks. Unbelievable.

NSW Cup isn't going to teach our 6 & 7 anything. Moses was classes above when he played NSW Cup last year, tore teams to shreds. Just need to get used to the speed and physicality of NRL and Taylor's structured game plan.

Really Taylor has only had the team together for 2 or so months and Teddy has only just started training in the last month. We will be up and down for another month or two.

Yes I agree. I watched Moses mid last year for Balmain and he went very well, but a lot on here expect two 20 year olds to play like Cronk, Slater and Smith against the premiers.

100% agree….we need to be patient with our team peoples....very patient :sign:

lets just sack mitch and brooksie now, save ourselves some trouble.

drinkwater and sirro at 6 and 7 for mine, anyone disagree? nope, alright it's settled.

premiership in twenty never incoming

That is 3 games now that I have not seen anything much in attack from Moses. Its pretty concerning. No need for anyone to be dropped for a while yet, but alarm bells are ringing about Mitch. Brooks is at least involved, albeit not showing what we might have hoped for from him. I think he shows more promise of coming good soon.

True Eddie but the gulf between State cup and NRL as far as time and space goes is as wide as the space between Happy's ears….

Unless Brooks and moses are injured the calls for Drinkwater is premature...

I can't believe we have some people calling for change when we are building a side. In some topics on this forum and others we were supposed to be beaten by 50 and dare I say it last year we would have.

The defence wins matches and our online defence was great as was our scramble. Moses and Brooks were quiet and will be as they grow into football players with experience. How do they get first grade experience playing NSW cup?

We played the premiers and they scored two try's from smart kicks behind our line and the supposed Worlds best player Inglis scored a good try.

We will get better and I would stick with the staring team but need more go forward on the bench. Dene and Jack can only have one spot, Lodge needs to play or Funaki

Get behind the boys as I believe we will beat the Dogs

I know we are all getting a little concerned that our highly touted, exceptionally talented young halves haven't really clicked in first grade very much as yet, but larrycorowa is right in saying that they have only been training under the new coach for a relatively short period of time. It's still very early days and these guys are babies really. I'm sure that by the middle of the season it will be a different story.
