I hope he gets what is coming to him!
Unfair.Gibbs is playing great this year. Glad to have him in the team.
He called Hannant a Mormon. He is a Mormon, whats the problem?

You don't know what he said. I am sure Hannant would not have got so upset if it had just been that!
Have a look at the game replay and see how he carried on when things did not go his way. He carried on like a spoiled brat.
I like a forward with a bit of 'mongrel' in him but I can't condone undisciplined behavior that can cost a teen the game.

WESTS Tigers prop Bryce Gibbs has escaped a charge for the alleged religious slur he made against Canterbury's Ben Hannant in the Bulldogs' 24-4 NRL win on Friday night.
>
The Bulldogs made no formal complaint under the league's anti-vilification code, but the match review committee was reportedly to listen to referees' audio of the incident to determine if any other action would be taken.
>
Gibbs' name did not appear on the committee's list of charges today, but he may yet be fined by the NRL if there is sufficient evidence.
>
Canberra's David Shillington has been charged with a grade one careless high tackle but will escape a ban.
>
Brisbane's Matt Gillett has been charged with dangerous contact with the legs/feet.
>
He will escape suspension if he enters the early guilty plea and miss one match if he unsuccessfully defends the grade one charge at the NRL judiciary.
>
Warriors interchange player Ukuma Ta'ai has been charged with a dangerous throw.
>
He will also escape a ban with an early guilty plea and miss one game with an unsuccessful challenge.

That is the gayest thing i've heard in years. Hannant needs to either harden up or else leave the nrl and go play soccer with all the other winging sooks.
@IronTiger said:just fired off an mail to the NRL:
Dear Mr Gallop
I am writing in relation to and requesting an explanation as to why Bryce Gibbs is being investigated regarding the alleged incident on Friday night. I ask as Billy Slater a few weeks ago was also alleged to have sledged a Newcastle player about his mental health and despite it being clear on the TV audio this was NOT investigated. This is without an explanation from the NRL to most fans especially Tigers a massive double-standard. As a paying club member whose family invests a lot of time and money supporting my club and the NRL your response will go a long way to making my decision whether this will continue. There are lots of other sports we follow but without the financial investment at the moment and I have 4 kids who are all at the ages where they are making these kinds of choices.
@Jazza said:I like the little threat at the end of the email where you're basically implying you will switch to another sport.
I wonder if that will panic Gallop into sending a response back to you as soon as possible.
@Moh said:I _hate_ the Bulldogs, but Ben Hannant seems like one of the best blokes in the NRL and bashing him just because Gibbs plays for our team is ridiculous. We don't know what was said, but if it made Hannant react the way he did it mustn't have been too good. Hannant does NOT need to harden up, he's not making a big deal about this - the media are. He just reacted to something that insulted him the way anyone else would.
It's good to see that it seems to have been left on the field, which is what both Hannant and Gibbs wanted along with the two clubs.
@Staks said:I'm a big fan of Gibbs and I'm happy that he has taken his game to another level this season that has made him one of the form front rowers in the competition.
I'm not going to excuse him on this though.
Why he needed to resort to such comments though is beyond me. Race, religion and any other influential issues like this should be left at home. The Rugby League field is no place for Gibbs to be questioning or abusing an individuals beliefs and values just because he does not agree with them. Gibbs also really needs to think about what affect his comments may have on some of the juniors that might look up to him in the lower grades who also have a strong (if not stronger) bond to there religion than Hannant has.
I'm hoping that the club has really pulled Bryce into line as some things are best unsaid in my opinion.
Let your football do the talking Bryce.
