Harry Grant - The 9th Immortal

In two games time he becomes the opposition

I'll appreciate what he did for the club ...but I'll hate him like any other who has left the club

The only redemption is staying or coming back

Don't be like that...it's why we have a bad reputation among players. Harry has shown the utmost respect for us and has never said a bad word. Him keeping his word and going back to Melbourne shows he is a classy guy with old school values (that "your word" or a handshake is a huge deal).

You are a deadset advertisement for the need for anger management...clear your head for a minute and consider how well Harry has played for us and how well he has conducted himself while here..I f he was to go back to Melb I would love to see him reach the hieghts of so many other successful NRL players before him..I have nothing but kind words and hopes for this fine young man and I dont care what colours he wears he has worn ours proudly......

Can't see Smith pulling the plug unless Storm win this year when he just might want to quit a winner. He will probably wait til their last game (Grand final or maybe earlier) before making the call. Then the dominos will start to fall with Harry and their other young hooker.

It shows he smart too.

I don't think C Smith is retiring. I think Storm will have Grant and both the Smiths in the team for next year with Grant playing lock/hooker and B Smith playing lock/front row. The attitudes of both B Smith and Grant is such that they won't kick stones like most of our players.

Storm star Felise Kaufusi answers children's questions about Cameron Smith future
By Melanie Dinjaski

One of Cameron Smith's Storm teammates predicts the legendary hooker will not retire after the 2020 season, playing into reports that he might leave Melbourne to finish his career in south-east Queensland.

Storm back-rower Felise Kaufusi has played alongside Smith since 2015 at club level, and the pair have also donned Queensland and Kangaroos jersey together.

This week, as an ambassador of Footy Colours Day, Kaufusi was quizzed over Zoom by students at Sacred Heart Primary School, Yarrawonga, about his relationship with Smith and answered a curly question about the Storm skipper's future in the NRL.

When asked if Smith would play on, Kaufusi predicted he will strap on the boots in 2021, but wasn't certain where.

"I think he will play on," he said.

"I'm not sure [where]. Could be Melbourne, could be Brisbane, could be Titans. Who knows."

Despite being the oldest player in the competition at 37, Smith has shown no signs of decline, leading the Storm back into premiership contention again this season.

Speculation of his retirement has lingered since 2018 when he signed a two-year extension with the Storm, however what happens after his current contract expires is still anyone's guess. Smith himself has been notably cryptic about his future plans.

Longer this drags on the bigger the chance Cameron will not be retiring this year. With a player of his status if he really was retiring they would have had weeks of farewell preparations in place. Last regular season game, last home game, last queensland game ect ect (ala Darren Lockyer)

I believe he simply is now just deciding on which club he wants to stay/go to.

the only people that know about Smith I'd say would be Bellyache, Ponissi and himself. for everyone else it's a guessing game.

Maybe he's holding it as motivation

Make the GF, announces retirement gee's up the boys
Dont make the GF, try again next year.

Hope he goes 1 more year at Melbourne retires with Bellamy
