I miss harry already hopefully the boys have been in his ear at the post season celebrations yesterday and today

I don’t think players get in each other’s ears. They’re professionals and know that it is a business.

They do a little. Luciano said Nofa chatted to him when they both played for Samoa last year which helped convince him to come over. Wouldn’t happen much though

I doubt it would happen on Mad Monday. Footy is probably the last thing on their minds.

Brandon might be a target no way he will stay if cam plays on and they keep harry. Remember we do have the kiwi national coach too big lure.
Take Brandon and flog off Liddle and blood Simpkin

Liddle is a keeper

If we get Brandon or Harry I agree
He will be on Job keeper
Will likely go to the Dogs
I'm not disputing that he is a good player
But Brandon or Harry plus Simpking and a development player Hooker would be enough
Liddles $ can be spent elsewhere

But getting a Brandon or Harry is a little unlikely at this stage

Negotiate a deal with Brandon to be our lock.

I thought he wanted to play #9. Isn't that the reason there is speculation he will leave the Storm?

If so, why would he come here to play lock ?

Exactly
Agree if we get Harry or Brandon then Liddle ends up on job keeper 🙂
Give simpkin his time and put liddle money towards another fullback

Liddle would be on next to nothing. I’m sure it’s going to go a long way to to securing a fullback

the good thing about brandon tho, is that he is able to play in the forwards, and he can play in the forwards well

but i still think our hooking stocks are all good for next year

Exactly, otherwise he's stay at Melb and play lock!

No way to flog off Liddle, you must be crazy - he's a much better DH than Brandon Smith.

I thought you knew something about Rugby League.

Why not both?

Negotiate a deal with Brandon to be our lock. He would be tight as a piano string in middle defence and has the ball playing/running smarts of a quality hooker. He also has the things our pack has been missing - controlled mongrel and a dash of craziness. The more I see him play the more I want him.

He can also cover for Liddle if he breaks down.

That was not what I was objecting to. It was the flogging off Liddle to get him to play DH.

What I was saying, and I'll say it again - Liddle is a better DH than Brandon Smith.

Get BS (That is Brandon Smith not Balmain Soccer) to play any other position you like, that would not worry me.

Further to above - if it got to a choice of Liddle or B Smith to play DH - I'll take Liddle every day of the week. If someone had to be let go - it is Simpkin every time for me.

Im not that disappointed to see Harry go. He's been amazing, but I have an enormous amount of faith in Liddle. He's an excitement machine - much like Cook. I think we'll be seeing Liddle vs Grant in origin in a few short years.

That's a strange comment about Simpkin without seeing him play a game.

We have seen Liddle play he isngood but he is not at international level like Brandon Smith and he is not Harry Grant. Simpkin could be anything we do not know, Liddle is exposed for
In horse racing terms Harry is a Group one contender along with Brandon Smith. Simpkin is an unknown he could be a Group 2 or 3 or he could be struggling to win a race in town.
Liddle is exposed he is a Kembla grange type of horse, we know what we get with Liddle, we may be able to generate some interest from the Dogs potentially.
If we miss Harry then let's take Brandon Smith and run with Simpkin as back up

We know what we get from Liddle. It is very good, provided he is fit. His ceiling is high. Worth keeping.

Wests Tigers hooker Harry Grant has capped off a superb rookie season by taking out the club’s 2020 Rookie of the Year Award at tonight’s end-of-season Presentation Night.

Grant — who joined Wests Tigers ahead of Round 3 for the remainder 2020 season — played 15 of a possible 18 games throughout the season, starting every match at hooker.

The 22-year-old took out the award ahead of fellow youngsters Sam McIntyre and Tommy Talau, who were also recognised for their strong rookie seasons.

Playing in his first full season of rugby league, Grant delivered a number of standout performances for Wests Tigers with eight try contributions and six linebreak assists to go with an average of 82 metres and 49 tackles per game.

He would play the full 80 minutes in all bar five appearances for the club — earning plaudits and praise for his impressive performances that saw him lead the Dally M counting when votes went behind closed doors after Round 11.

As per the original agreement between the two sides, Grant will depart Wests Tigers to return to the Melbourne Storm in 2021.

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate Harry on his award and his superb rookie season!

Straight from Harry's mouth on stage tonight.

'I won't be at Melbourne next year if Cam plays on'
