Has someone changed the site format again?

I was enjoying navigating the other format and suddenly it changed back to this again last night! I hate it when it's like this - you can't see where you've been or if there's been any new posts on a particular topic and who wrote them. You have to go through the whole process of finding the thread within the category and then going on it to see who wrote what, if anything. Whereas before, the index page would break the topics down and show you who had posted where and when. I know there's that bit down the side with current posts, but it's not the same. Am I making any sense? This is difficult to explain.

You do make sense, it's frustrating to follow it at times.
I just look at the post on the side but wish we had the old format agree
