Hayne plane

Forgot about his case in the US.

Something I'm sure we as a club won't want to be attached with. Quality talent when his on.. but I can't see him here.

Peaked in 2009.

Hayne is either Parramatta (where his heart and soul is) or French Rugby.

Hayne is a me player and yes on his day he a great player but for what he is after, his age and what we have built our club on he does not fit our 2019 narrative.

As others have alluded to Maguire will eat him alive in pre season. Never been a good trainer.

In short a big "NO" from me.

If it was down to Dylan Walker or Hayne, I'd take Hayne 7 days a week. Dylan Walker fades in and out of seasons so badly, I can't stand him.

That being said, neither of them are tops. But Hayne on a budget surely cannot be a bad thing. He might be a poor trainer and ego maniac but at his peak he has more talent in one foot than most of our backline in their whole body.

This has to be a gee up by Lenny. Imagine Madge and Hayne in a preseason. Jayne is a notorious poor trainer.

That said Hayne is exactly the player that needs Madge. If he made it through pre season and in the first grade squad under Madge he would be starting for the Blues.

I can’t see it happening. Madge has enough challenges.

I agree …. he is at the stage of his career where he is after some "easy" retirement money.
Doesn't strike me as sort of a team player OR motivated to knuckle down to hard yakka.

If we were a quality fullback short of a title and had a strong leadership group in place that would keep him in line I would take him. However we are early in our development as a unit due to consistent coaching changes and many key players leaving a little over 12 months ago. The timing is not right and the last 2 clubs he has been at have gone backwards not forwards after signing him.

This is just regurgitating what’s been talked about all afternoon. The journos added 2 and 2 and gotten 5 by with Pascoe’s comment.

Who would our centre pairing be in 2019\. Marsters and ?

Marsters is good 20 meters out as he has strength but lacks speed.

Not a fan of Haynes attitude at all but he would be the 2nd or 3rd quickest in the club after Brooks and maybe Mybe.

Marsters is a beast and improving rapidly he is powerful and deceptively quick over 40.
Momirovski looks the goods but unproven.
Fonua is rocks and diamonds good depth player for a few games here and there.

I would like to see Dylan Walker, James Roberts type player as we need speed.

Masters to second row. How good was his line that he ran for the nz try that was a second row/full back type run.

Not yet. Lawrence and Matterson would be locks for edge back row positions. Marsters will end up there but a few years before that happens.
