Hayne to Titans - Will it impact the Tigers??

As others have said, it could destablize the playing group by him playing this yr. Just like he was happy to steal a Fijian's players spot, here he is doing it again. They've worked hard all season the Titans, incuding the off season. That's nearly 12 months. Now one of those players whose done all that hard work will be shafted to make way for a glory hound, because that's what Hayne is. I still remember when NSW won in 2014 and on fulltime **he needlessly ran the ball from the 20m line all the way beyond the dead ball line to the fence to allow himself to get mobbed why he stood there with his arms stretched out.** He honestly thinks of himself as the Australian Lebron James.

Seriously?
The guy was enjoying the moment.
I think you have a problem with people who have tasted success and want to knock them down to your size.

Not as much as Robbie's announcement in the next few days will.

The permission you are talking about is to make sure that Players don't owe money to the club that they have left, mainly a formality and a phone call from the club concerned is sometimes all that is required
I doubt that the NRL requirements are exactly the same as park football clubs . If it is , then I'm sure that that has been done. It takes about two minutes to write a clearance
And press send

You are right it is a very simple process, problem is that under the rules its not supposed to be done after june 30th. NRL players are required to get this clearance aswell. Its an old rule, as i stated Ellery Hanley had to be signed before june 30th in 1988 as well.

It is required to make sure all responsibilities have been completed to the club. For example if Jarrod had signed a letter of intent that he would only rejoin the eels if he returned within 3 years the eels could therefore block his clearance.

The technical issue in this case is that a clearance ca not be given after June 30\. The NRL should have come out and said tbey gave him an exemption, instead they made up that bcos he played NFL he isnt required to seek a clearance which is just plain wrong.

I think its great that Hayne is back, rspecially.on the Gold Coast I just think the NRL shoukd have handled it better.

Yep, he should have cringed behind the goal posts with a tea towel over his head, so no one would know that he was excited

Hanley had been registered with an English club before coming here, Hayne wasn't registered with any club,
Maybe you should check with Parra if it worries you so much. , I think the deal is safe

Not saying the deal isn't safe, Parra aren't going to argue anything at the moment. As I said the clearance has nothing to do with being registered to the club before coming here. He has to gain a clearance from the last club he played for, that is Parramatta, that clearance is not allowed to be given after June 30\. Obviously the NRL decided to change this to allow Hayne to sign, they just should have said they made an exemption instead they made up about him not requiring a clearance which under the rules is untrue.

I don't actually care I only brought it up as someone asked if he was allowed to sign after June 30, technically the answer is no.

What if he got the clearance to go to the 49'ers…2 years ago

Shouldn't be playing and should definitely not be eligible to play in the finals

Why,
It's already having a great effect up here.
According to the papers & the club , they should recoup his first years cost in his first two games, and they won't have the merchandise ready for his first game. Its just what we need to smash the Afl on the Coast
League is a long way ahead of the Afl as far as numbers of kids goes, but this is bigger than you could Imagine.
They're going to pull in a lot of people who have never been to a game before.
A great thing for the game here

You make some real good points GCT! You're right, if a player of his calibre comes along, particularly in this Parra infested season, then they need to do everything they can to get him playing asap. It'll help our gate too!

Exactly, it's good for All the clubs, maybe not on the field, but at the gate.
If he continues as he started last week . The Titans won't have any regrets.

I think the NRL learnt their lesson from the whole Israel Folau fiasco, where rhey let rugby sneak in and sign him. Look at him now he is probably their number 1 drawcard, and was only their becasue the nrl wouldnt register his contract.

Looks like Hayne to the Titans is going to have a big impact on the tigers semi final run. The good thing is our destiny is in our own hands. Win on Saturday and it pretty much comes down to tigers, warriors and penrith for 2 spots, and funny enough we play both.

On NRL 360, Loz seemed more of a Teddy fan for fullback over Hayne.

As I said the other night, this is why Hayne is now a five eighth. He knows he's not getting the number 1 jersey back off Tedesco, so it's always been his dream to play in the halves for NSW.
