HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

tunks got the punt a few years ago mate
Hughes papworth Robertson, Eric grothe, Mark Carroll
it is not good but some of the callers are amusing sometimes
Ive seen pod clips of Carroll on FB, insta etc....sounds like hes talking with a mouth fulla gravel...cannot understnd a word he says

Probabaly Tiggah on LU...remember his thread?

It was monumental
I think Tigger has re-invented himself here....what do you reckon @Winston Churchill

Blocker and Elias who never played for wests tigers will get some quotes in lol
this is a train wreck
if Rucho does walk (think he will)
Step in Vlandys take the licence from HBG
Yes, Block and Back Door will be described as Wests Tigers legends and when they speak about the club they will refer to it as Balmain.

Nothing surer.

But is changing your board bringing the game into disrepute?
Did fans forcing the previous changes bring the game into disrepute?
What constitutes disrepute?
We as fans need a change but Ezra Mann has brought more disrepute to the game into the last couple of years than Denny and his cronies
Aside from playing politics to further his own interests at the expense of the success of WT and treating fans like garbage, Denny’s hair is held in disrepute, PVL only needs to look through his forum to demonstrate that. Case closed! Barry and the board should be reinstated by PVL as external administrators until HBG demonstrate they’re capable of adhering to proper governance structures.

I might have it wrong, but Richo is usually pretty quick to respond to stuff like this in hosing it down. He spent a huge amount of interview time explaining how good and improved the new systems of our club are at the end of last season and now that's taken a pretty severe blow.

The fact that the club has issued a nothing statement and there's nothing from Richo suggests at the very least that he wasn't involved otherwise he'd be on the front foot as he usually likes to be. Going to more serious extremes, his silence might reflect the fact he is either needing serious discussion to resolve his problems or is on the way out.

I'd prefer him and Benji to walk if they're not happy with this move. Both of them are imperfect, but I think they have worked together well to at least make us more credible looking both on and off the field.

If they don't like it, I hope they have the guts to leave, because they have enough influence and credibility that our entire fan base and significant league figures will back them to force change.

The trouble with accepting this return to HBG control is that it did not work, and they've continued to prove their incompetence off the field with their continued bickering. I just can't see it. But ultimately Id be persuaded by the opinion of the CEO and coach on this matter. For all their flaws, I believe both would not be willing to tarnish their reputation for something they don't believe in.

Surely it’s untenable for Richo. And Benji will know that recruitment and retention has suffered another big set-back. Why put himself through more attacks on his ability as a coach? Both deserve better than this.

Only NRL intervention can save this club from itself.

Doubt we will hear anything from Richo until he is certain of his next move, whether that's positive or negative, ?

That's probably the trouble, in their own dinosaur minds they think they do own it, if Wests tigers members were able vote on the makeup of the board I'd doubt they'd get one hand up for any of them in power at the moment for the HBG representatives.
Even ashfield or hbg members mate. 2 out of the 3 guys who were kicked off were the 2 elected reps and it was clear which way they voted. Just extrapolate that out.

benji & richo bust their ass for years just for it to be undermined in a day. with their reputation intact they should run & run fast

Wests Tigers arnt the problem though.
It's at HBG that changes need to be made. Wests Tigers finally seemed to be sorted after 25 years. It's the majority share holders where the problems are coming from.
Yeah, I dont think JC understood the situation well. This isnt a balmain conflict thing, theyre gone. But he still got to the right conclusion.

If you want another decade of spoons Richo leaves.

I prefer the NRL ensures Richo stays.

The onflow impact with Richo and Benji going is that no serious experienced CEO or coach will take on this team and whats worse is our best players all have options / can leave quickly in a market that is very competitive. We also can’t sign players until board/CEO/coach are replaced.
