HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

Your words have such a melodic rhythm, there is a bloke at the Australian Songwriters Association that would be seriously interested in your kind of talent.

I think his name is Dennis but his friends call him Denny.
Thank you Hank. I'm new to the music game...no ARIA awards yet, but I have Dennis to thank for bringing this new talent out in me. Without him, none of this would be possible.

Does anyone know if Andrecchio, Gilbert & Romero are also pusuing legal action against HBG (like Wayde did)? Let’s hope so.

——

“We want some transparency on how much has been spent of members’ money on legal fees in the past year … I think that is the smoking gun for intervention by Minister Harris.”

Tell that to the media 🤪
Not sure what your angle is other than being defensive.
Do you think there is any NRL supporters that has watched our club over the last 10 years that thinks we are in good hands - having no allegiances other than as observers?

I think with out fear or or doubt the consensus is we are a joke embarassment and should be relegated. We make it easy for other clubs to pick off any talent we have and if there is a team that is targeted to be tossed out you can guarantee we are in the conversation.

And the rubbish position we are in again - after a year where some outside of the club saw some hope - is solely on the back of the actions of the board that are entrusted by the fans to make decisions that are in the best interest of WTs.

There are definitely people out there who are supportive of, or amused by the recent events but they are not WTs supporters and are enjoying us driving another nail in the coffin.

To be fair, I haven’t listened to either for a year or so, but back then they were all former Balmain fans with a couple (one on each) who were too young to have known anything pre 2000.
Why do you care who they supported pre-merger? They discuss a team that started in 1999 - Wests Tigers. They don't even mention Balmain or Wests. In fact, I think they're overly cautious about it, so as not to alienate people.

I know it hurts you that you lost your club, but living in the past with all that resentment and trying to bring down what others love won't make you happy.

So in other words you made an assumption without knowledge and passed it off as fact to be critical of people? Probably behaviour worthy of an apology.
Fair enough, I apologise.

You must concede however, that for the vast bulk of both podcasts existence - it’s true to say they were both created by, and have been very top heavy with former Balmain fans 🤷‍♂️

Nothing stopping you and your mates from starting up a Wests Tigers podcast, might be time you had a crack instead of having a sook about being underrepresented. We’d all love to hear your views on Wests Tigers.

I couldn't care less, who’s on the podcasts,
I was simply responding to a claim made in an earlier post where a similar accusation was being made against @BZN

How am I trying to tear anything down ?
A bloke on a forum voicing an opinion, just like you and everyone else here 🤷‍♂️

Reactions: BZN
Hey two dozen, @BZN didn’t mention Balmain fans.

He spoke of peeps coming originally from the Balmain side of the equation - like every member of the Wests Tigers podcast, Wests Life podcast, Darcy Byrne etc etc..

There is a clear distinction between that and being a “Balmain fan”, or a Western Suburbs fan for that matter.
Thanks for explaining that Terri gal. So “Balmain People” is distinct from “Balmain fans”
I suppose the Balmain people represent a much greater number than the Balmain fans. I suppose you and BNZ are more conscious of the greater number of Balmain people who are perhaps attracted by the Tiger and become WT fans?
Is it such a bad thing? What level of the split magpies/tigers fan base would you be happy with? For me personally I think any increase in the fan base is valued regardless of background, but would I feel the same way if I was a “Magpies person?” I don’t know?

I wonder if we’re in a position to hand in our membership subscriptions and get a full refund.
That would be a powerful reminder that us members don’t stand for this (hit them how it hurts)could be a bigger protest than the proposed March.
Just wondering.??

Crazy how you said you don't care who they supported prior to the merger, yet proceed to make a point about who they supported prior to the merger. You've lost any semblance of credibility you might have had.

It's very easy to spot the Magpies fans who say they are all for WT and "Wests Tigers forever" but are obviously lying through their teeth.

If they are all for Wests Tigers, they would support the NSW Cup team being Wests Tigers as well then, like Jersey Flegg.

But ask them the above question and you will get your answer.

To them it’s more important who you supported 26 years ago ? WTF ? The priority should be winning games NOW!! What else really matters?

I think I’ve heard of a few posters saying they tried and were denied the request but I think the protest is the start.

Boycott of games, memberships, merch and anything that contributes to HBG should be considered next. I think everyone organising this has a much better strategic mind then I do so I’m certain they’ve mapped out a response/pathway depending on how things play out.

Somehow I don't think the poor membership staff will hit their KPI's this year
