Mate that is my exact point and I completely agree with the points you make.
The board members at HBG and the HGB reps on the Wests Tigers act on their own personal interest which is to use the club as a means to re-live the glory days and for status.
When they can’t exert control over either they throw their toys out of the cot, backstab anyone with competence because they don’t want to be personally shown up, and create chaos in the media that reflects poorly on both HBG and the Wests Tigers.
The [This word has been automatically removed]ed thing is they don’t care because their selfishness and delusion doesn’t allow them to see the destruction their actions cause. Because to them it’s about extraction. It’s about what they can gain personally from this scenario and their insatiable appetite to stroke their own ego.
That’s what I mean by self-interest. We need a club first mentality and that has never been the case at the Wests Tigers (albeit for a brief period under the independent board and Richo).
Don’t mean to sound combative towards you too because I completely agree with everything you just said.
2030 they can change the name.to wests magpies i believeWhose self interest though. What did HBG gain by doing this? WT barely makes money and most NRL clubs dont. They have much bigger fish to fry with their own clubs.
What did they actually achieve by doing this? "They have more control over WT". But what are they gonna achieve with this control.
Indeed! Imagine, he was able to drag every other struggling club out of the sewer, but we were the only ones to break him! We are beyond redemption.RICHO is too good for this club
Well F me, finally something witty with a hint of intelligence, mate there's hope for you yet a promotion from the chicken coop maybe imminent.Mate, you do
“It’s written all over his avatar”
You do realise your conversing with a bloke who uses a Balmain fridge magnet for an avatar.
Too funny - oh the hypocrisy 🤣🤣🤣
I've had a change of heartLets get a petition going for members seeking a refund.
The NRL will take notice of that.
But @tig_prmz had a valid question, which I still can't find an answer for.
HBG would be well aware of their duties as directors, most notably their primary obligation to act in the best interests of the organisation. As such, there would have to be valid explanations for their decisions.
I am as angry as everyone here. What is happening is a full on disgrace.
And there is no telling how Benji or the playing group will react. They are a close-knit and loyal bunch.
I would like to know what the reasons or motives were behind HBG's decisions. If there are two sides to every story, HBG better come out and be transparent about theirs, and quick. And they better be in the best interests of this merged football club.
Spurs got rid of levy13th Dec.... We march.
Will anything likely happen from it? Probably not... but god we need to try.
There becomes a point where money is irrelevant. None of these guys need cash. It is about power and control, simple as that. Not having a go at you but I wanna discuss these points further.
1. You said they are doing it for their own ego/ self worth. Usually I find that money is the biggest motivator, not ego. HBG profits 50x more than WT so I fail to see a financial motive. In terms of ego, I have a second point.
Nothing on your double standards then 🤔Well F me, finally something witty with a hint of intelligence, mate there's hope for you yet a promotion from the chicken coop maybe imminent.
They’re not that bright because a bad football team with no fans is worth two fifths of f$&k allSometimes the most obvious answer, is the correct answer.
They did not like not being in control of the club so they took back the power. They smeared Richo on the way out with a strategic leak to make their position stronger. They know they can act with impunity and they couldn't care less what fans think.
As long as you get to play out your little fantasy of owning a football club it doesnt matterThey’re not that bright because a bad football team with no fans is worth two fifths of f$&k all
The fantasy was probably better with a crowd in the house. Prawn sandwiches might be a bit stale now.As long as you get to play out your little fantasy of owning a football club it doesnt matter
But that's the issue, isn't it? They're not elected, they hold debentures. How does that get changed?Yeah even then, if HBG are paying their bills I still expect nothing from the NRL.
I think where change could/needs to be made is at board level of HBG. It's seems the current HBG is the problem. But those board members aren't the actual owners, they are elected/appointed to the board. Empty stadiums/loss of sponsorship etc might see members to vote for change on the HBG board. Then we can only hope their replacements have an idea.
Cool story broI don’t listen to his or any other footy podcasts.
I could care less where Mr Byrne bobs up 🤷♂️
