HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

I can think of one that was sacked and banned for 8 years and then there is another who's partner is a sack of shit. *end reality*

The latter was the one that immediately came to mind for me.

Absolutely Wests Tigers should be in all lower grades it's a no brainer, it gives us an identity, playing through the grades then eventually play first grade .If you have success wearing the jersey in the lower grades your gunna want to wear that same jersey and have success in the top grade aye..at the same time it clears the fogg ,are we Western Suburbs or are we Balmain... Neither we the Wests Tigers a merger of to former first grade identity...

Just got off the phone with him. Seemed genuine.

Explained that I have no problem with the club, my problems are solely with the dysfunctional HBG board making decisions. The lack of stability and infighting in that group directly impacts on employment, decision making and direction in the club. Today's announcement doesn't change anything as the HBG leaders making that decision will likely be gone & banned in 6 months anyway, when they turn on themselves.

He did say within the building things are strong and the team are unified & buoyed by the fans passion around recent events and do not feel any anger directed towards the team.

Current refund policy obviously does not cover the recent upheaval, they are reviewing the policy and expect to be done by February, at which point they will come to members.

I’m a paid up member in 2026 but will not renew after that. Already told membership dept to take me off auto-renew next year and they confirmed.

Simply I do not trust HBG to do the right thing by W Tigers.

They got a slap on the wrist by PVL - no way they rehire OFarrell and the independents unless they were forced to. But increasing the size of HBG's representation -( makes sense if the governance structure was performance and skilled base - )but we know what we get and keep and so I can't support more of the same by not showing up to the march on the back of the latest development.

How can it happen again?

HBG can just go on their merry way and do what ever they want with their majority, no need to sack any of the independents because they now effectively have no power and no say to do anything.

If anything, I can see independents walk away frustrated knowing they can do very little.
