Heamasi Makasini #303

Gun in the making. If he can play that good in his first game when he had to have been nervous, well I shudder to think of what he can truly do. He did get dominated in tackles a few times physically, but he'll be sweet next time now that he understands the standard he needs to be at.

Benji will make him earn his spot over pre-season. If he gets picked in round 1, then we know he is ready.

The kid is a better athlete than most in the league. No guarantees in life but in sports these dudes usually dominate. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t start week 1 can’t see Skelton or Toa being picked over this kid.

Watching the interview of Maka on YouTube, alot of credit needs to go to Shannon Gallant... Maka was more into the union side and Gallant moulded him into a leaguie over the years, loyal to the tigers (or so he says).. obviously we are doing something right when a kid of this talent speaks so positively about the club... Just need to find the next few up and comers!

Whats h

What's happened to large haven't seen his name in any grade for manly for months.
1. Siebold is a crap coach. He may know some tricks, but won't improve Ontorni Large.
2. DCE should be told "mentor Large", doubt he has because Siebold is a crap coach and Penn wants to fight to control club.

Glad Large is at Manly to be 'the next best thing'. I have no doubt Bennett, Bellamy or a good coach would improve him. Manly wont'

Love it. Such a humble young man! Chalk and cheese compared to Galvin.

Another one of our young players who says they have been helped most by Brent Naden coming into the squad.

Refreshing to hear that he believes he's best to start on the wing coming into NRL but centre is his favourite and wants to be known for his big right fend.

Sounds like he's getting the name Robin to Taylan's Batman lol these two could form a lethal left edge next season!

Almost every kid at the club talks about Naden's influence on them. I'm not sure if it's always a good thing, but maybe he's worth keeping around to play a role in KOE and step up to first grade if we lose 3 or 4 outside backs to injury. He could be somewhere around 27–30 in the depth chart. On minimum dollars.

Surely they have plenty of other mentors rather than keeping him now … we have three spots left and need to use them wisely to improve this team

Hes been given too many chances by too many clubs..by .much better coaches than Benji...
Not sure all his influences are positive btw
We simply dont need to buy 27-30 ranked players when weve got a 1st grade side thats still struggling
Need to severe the umbilical

I agree, although it will depend how and what we spend our remaining salary cap on.... Unlike a few others I don't think we are flush with funds and as a minimum contract player he might be value. We may only be able to afford one solid experienced Middle and the other 2 may need to be minimum.

If you honestly want to keep Naden as any form of a mentor it would be OFF the field as he has proven all his career he is often a liability on it.

I want to keep him offer him 250K and maybe he is a good influence because he has made mistakes and he mite talk about not wasting opportunities

Minimum wage is the best part of 200k these days - It doesn't buy a lot.
Only striking gold would replace Naden for low cost, and whenever the Tigers strike Gold
it seems to last about half a season.
