OFFICIAL Heamasi Makasini #303

Out of the game injured today after a blatant shoulder charge by Toupanoua, not even penalised.

I would love to see our big boys get stuck in to the next opposition player that rocks makasini. show him that we care

I agree, unfortunately we do not have an enforcer type forward other than Samuela, Sione can put a hit on however playing longer minutes might mean he needs to save his energy. Someone really needed to rock Toupinua, he was bullying our backs.

I'd be satisfied if it was just a bit of push and shove, its like he's on his own out there

We can't continue to play him anymore.

He's got a heap of talent but he's here for a while and I feel like we are just killing his confidence playing him.

Id have Laulii, Skelton, toa and Herbert once he's back before him. Id even put Mason at centre.

Once we are not even a mathematical chance of making the 8 then we can look to get him in for experience.

Some players like Galvin flourish when thrown in the deep end, I don't think he's the type of player that does.

Agree get him back in cup for the remainder of the year to build a combination with Latu, Javon, Attard & Haywood. If he starts carving up then absolutely give him another chance in firsts. At this point I’d play Skelton on the wing or Saukuru at centre before him.

He may end up starting on the wing with Herbert injured. If not Laulilii should be the bench back over mak so he can actually develop in cup same with Latu

Galvin didn’t flourish, we stunted his growth as well and the Dogs are dealing with that right now.
This kid makes a huge amount of F-ups…errors, poor decisions and missed tackles.
He has to serve an apprenticeship otherwise he will never reach his potential.

Though he had more pace than what he’s got , should of dived 15 meters out , and he would have slipped over 🤔
Another game changing moment he was involved in.. along with the no try in the first set of the game - he got lucky there, technically it was a penalty but seyfarth was never making a meaningful tackle

The only criticism here should be directly at Benji Marshall.

His use of Heamasi has been incredibly detrimental the kids career. Its now at the point he has to take a reset and start all over again. Identify what position you want him to progress to in the future and then play him in that spot in Flegg next week. If he performs strongly and get confidence back, move him to KOE cup in 2 or 3 weeks to finish the year.

Forget the NRL team, Benji has a duty of care here.

Same could be said for the treatment of Latu Fainu.

Paying them too much to play lower grades - both of them.
Might also be a problem getting an exemption?
Whole situation is poorly managed - or was obvious the kid was sinking early on the season… we’ve been squeezing the lemon dry ever since.
