Makasini will be our best player in 2 years. He’s too young and came through GPS. Will take him time. Averillo and May have to be centres with the kid coming inning the wing only. Hammering kids is typical tigers fans we are a bad fan base

We are sometimes a bad fanbase because certain people shoot their wads over the performances of 16/17 year olds and drum up incredible hype over them doing good things in the juniors.
This hype translates to media fawning over them before they’ve achieved anything and pressure is put on coaches to debut them way ahead of time.
We have done it so many times. Brooks suffered from it and never really got over it. Galvin is currently struggling through it, even leaving the club to get a better go at it and now this kid who honestly doesn’t even look like he has the faintest idea of how to play the game.
We as a club MURDER young players careers and it’s tragic to witness it.

I'm a fan. He has some really good attributes. He's courageous, as evidenced by how he attacks the high ball, and goes into contact. Just the fact he is physical is a big tick. He does have some sloppy moments in him, which I'd expect of someone in their rookie season. Some of these moments are costing us at critical moments. Unfortunately, he (and we) will have to bear with him while he builds experience.

I'll echo what many have here, he should be learning his trade in reserves. However, it's just how it is, our depth sucks and he's stuck playing first grade. Seems like his confidence has returned and he's not getting dominated like at the start of the season. Let's show him support guys, let's not make him a punching bag.
