Help me (and others) keep faith in Madge...

Our D past two months....

No other coach had a record that bad for two months straight. I don't know what to even say. I have not seen a team with no defensive structures at all like this. We concede Z grade tries weekly.

I thought they were Hobbos darts score for a moment sorry

But it's not like he screams it out after 19 darts thrown

Maybe some of our players should take up darts ? instead of pretending to play footy?

Packer can’t stand for that long with his arthritis

384 decoy metres ....topping the Rd again ....he actually a decoy line break in the 2nd half ...you blokes are cruel

Ramming speed ......goes 80 ..scores ...we win ......Brooks was quieter than normal tonight ...oh thats right ...he was grounded for being naughty

I was disappointed there was no biff tonight

Really bad.

Once the 'Madge ball' style ( power hit ups / kicks) stopped working (through attrition) they fell away.

They never really had a game plan as such. It was basically bash and barge with a great kicker and GI magic.

To think a coach could turn around the worst team in the comp in less than 4 or 5 years is ridiculous.

At least you get it not too many on here have any idea at all

Someone explain the logic...

We have young centers who desperately need games at center.
We have a young winger who needs to develop combos with them.
We have nothing to lose / season done...

PERFECT game to play Talau or Hoffman...

And...
We play Lawrence.

That just killed all faith I had left.

It makes no sense on every level right now and even less looking at 2021.

He played Talau last week and all everyone did after was want to trade him out.

A very respectable 12th. Burgi, Cook, Walker, Reynolds, Crichton, Farah, Johnston etc

Mate, let's just stop blaming the roster...Dogs are worse. Titans are worse. Warriors have hand me downs...Sharks had 8 Newtown players recently in their top 17...please, just stop the easy option. We have been terrible for two straight months. Even really poor teams...really, really, poor teams historically...man up and have a good D performance once a month. We have had nothing. I can't just keep saying 'blame the roster'.

There 'should' have been tangible improvement in at least some areas. There has been nothing.

I liked our attack tonight. Finally running in pairs and a bit of ball playing ( the forwards) but our backline was bog ordinary. Gotta find a way to get Joey into the game. Then there is the defence. Best not spoken of.

I am not a big Talau fan...but you had to think of 2021 and let the kid at least get some games. What did playing Lawrence do to help 2021? It made zero difference tonight. But i expected the coach to at least have an eye on 2021.

He might do a good job when he gets the team he wants but he’s been very disappointing with existing players. Holbrook and Payten have shown you can improve a team without needing to completely change the roster.


Yes mate, this is where I am really disappointed.

Holbrook has put in structures, added an organizing half, shifted Taylor away from the play making and got their pack defending as a unit. Blooded several players with a view to 2021.

We have regressed massively and done nothing to fast track some combos for 2021.

Spot on and honestly I don’t think our roster is as bad as everyone makes out either, it’s certainly better on paper than the Titans or Warriors.

We had the storms at one stage when we bought them back to our standard and we still ballsed it up
