If JT is getting the side to play a certain way in defence for this season and not putting to much into attack, what happens next year after we get rid of the deadwood in the side and he has to go back to square one with a heap of new faces. would he not be better getting the best out of the kids now.

That's a easy answer we won't be getting any new faces for next year that simple

What we need to do is speculate and call for JTs head.

Size matters, but just as important is how you use it to get the best performance each time.

The best coaches setup the system to suit the players that have. The others try to change players or recruit to fit the system. Taylor is smart he has a 3 year deal, support of an NRL appointed board and they can't afford to replace him. I am sure they front loaded players this year and probably next with a view to recruitment in 2017\. The fans will suffer through what is in effect a weak board, weak coaching team, weak roster, low crowds and dwindling support/crowds.

I don't think Taylor expected to lose players before the season began but to his credit, he hasn't used this as an excuse. He has publicly accepted that what you see is what you get until 2017 when the cap will allow some recruitment. In the meantime, I admire his grit for sticking with the plan he outlined at the beginning of the season - you don't get to play finals footy if you are the worst defensive team in the comp. He has always said that players should play what they see in attack but opportunities in attack come from structured play in both defence and attack.

I'm prepared to keep supporting this side and this coach and see what happens by 2017\. It's better for the blood pressure that way.

Simple ,because if we can't fix our defensive issues no quality players we want will want to be seen dead here
