Hey Ivan

Well some are seriously getting their panties in a bunch over all this... He's gunna be another media untouchable due to his son so why let it bother you so?
Nothing will be done... Laughable to think that.

Any chance that scum bag worm Ivan is made accountable is definitely worth it. He's one tool that seems to get away with most things without being answerable at all and i hope Vlandys puts him and the club on notice. Who cares if a WTs supporter egged him on as its no different to a referee having a crack at fan for giving them stick. These people are in a position of power, they get paid ridiculous money and to label it as passionate response is just plain BS. The rubbish response from the Panthers CEO is probably worse in my book and also shows no accountability, by 'wishing us well' is having another sly crack and the reason why the NRL will always be a game for mugs. Ivan should be made to make a public apology for his immature response and admit he was wrong. It's not theatre either for what it's worth.

Well said @Tcat I reckon any male that is a 'real' man will have the guts to come out and say he was wrong to have acted the way he did 'in the spur of an emotional mind' and apologise to all Wests Tigers players, fans and our club.
I also reckon as you said "the Panthers CEO" should pull his head in.... and in future put his brain into gear before he opens his gob.

Im passionate, but I'm Surprised at the response on this.

The guy has shown his true colours before. Professional people wouldn't respond to fan stuff like this.

So, I just look forward to our next win against the Panthers, and I'll just smile and walk away. That will be far more satisfying.

Our Chairman's inspired comments surrounding IC and his behaviour towards WTs are really well timed. Being publicly slapped down is a humiliating experience for him.

Our chairman's comments @pawsandclaws1 were only partly "inspired".
As a legal person....he didn't tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth...as he said Cleary apologised....Cleary DIDN'T Imo apologise as what he said was...."I PROBABLY WISH" I hadn't said anything.
Is that an apology to you?....it certainly aint to me.

Cleary's apology would be meaningless. Actions speak louder than words and that includes decisions surrounding player retention and recruitment while at WTs. The public slap down served it's purpose.

I don't get @pawsandclaws1 how you can say "Cleary's apology would be meaningless"
To me an apology....if done from the heart....means you 'accept' you have done the wrong thing.
"I PROBABLY wish I hadn't done anything" ....is NOT an apology.

He didn't apologise because he's not sorry.

And our chairman saying Cleary did apologise is also another dig at Cleary that he did the wrong thing.

I agree that Cleary didn't apologise, but we said he did, meaning we are putting the story out there that Cleary is admitting he did the wrong thing. Cleary either has to wear our story that he apologised, or comes out and says no that is wrong, he is not sorry (for acting like an immature child). That's why their CEO had to chime in, because Cleary can't now.

Cleary equals rubbish, I don't want his apology anyway. Sucked in to Panthers for having him as their coach. Let's hope they get what they deserve.

The best response would be to make the eight, and knock them out of the finals. That would hurt Cleary more than anything else.

At the moment they are above us on the ladder, and they beat us.

Well that pisses me right off if true. Meanwhile Cleaey walks around with that smug stupid look on his face.

We should be grateful that he walked out and we got Madge. The bloke has zero class and I am glad he is not involved with our club, just not a nice person

Mr Gallen just gave his opinion in this matter. This dope just gets to me ..... WT fans should just grow up .... huh!
.... Naaah Mr. Gallen we get it and you just don’t!
You and the media just go ahead and continue to blow kisses up this guys back side if You like. But WT supporters can clearly see this critter for Who he is .... man without character and commitment and a bale out merchant.

Do you ever get your "panties in a bunch" about anything on here or elsewhere @innsaneink or are you one of those blokes who are cool, calm and collected all the time?
This is a very emotional subject for a lot of people on here, and IMO we are all entitled to express our thoughts and emotions as we feel we need to (without being personally abusive) without you telling us we are getting our "panties in a bunch".
I'm also very surprised and disappointed that our Club's chief defender @cochise
hasn't come out strongly against Cleary in this matter.

It's all good, it just makes Cleary look more childish. No matter what a fan does, the coach is supposed to be professional.

And mate, I think that smug stupid look on his face, is just his normal face.

It's going to be great when we match up in the finals and blow a kiss to the coaches box after annihilating them.

He should be sanction by the NRL for inciting the crowd with his behaviour as a crowd we pay our money and we can vent or feelings how ever we like

If Wests Tigers don't put pressure on the NRL to sanction Cleary re "inciting the crowd" @Elderslie_Tiger I will tend to think we are a weak club.
Cleary didn't apologize for his disgraceful display in purposely belittling one of our fans when he said.... "it was just an incident, I PROBABLY wish I didn't do anything".
Imo when you put down our fans you are at the same time putting down Wests Tigers.
The twitter article I have quoted went on to say...."While Wests Tigers officials and fans weren't impressed with Cleary's behaviour, MOST recognised that it only adds to the theatre and builds on tension between the two clubs, which ultimately increased interest"....Really!....The response I have noticed from 99% of people on this forum is of disgust....so who are the Wests Tigers officials that don't see it that way and are therefore condoning Cleary's action?
Imo the only sort of theatre and tension that Cleary blowing kisses to a Wests Tigers fan develops.... is the start of the sort of tension that exists between English soccer hooligans, where opposing fans actually hate each other, and act on it.
If this is the style of fan base that develops due to Cleary's stupidity....I don't want any part of it.

Cleary should first and foremost apologise to the Wests tigers fans and club for digging us in a big hole with his Signings and the way he left our club.
He should remember that it was our club that gave him his third chance at coaching in the Nrl
What does he do, craps on our club
He never once apologised to our club or fans for his actions (correct me if I am wrong)
Until he does so he should fully expect Tigers fans to give it to him at every chance.
If he was man enough to apologise to the Tigers and all of its fans for what he did to our club, then maybe there would not be as much hatred towards the man.
Why the hell should we show any kind of compassion towards this one man when this one man himself left our club in a huge mess.
As far as I am concerned Ivan deserves to be let known what we all think of him
He did this to himself
We did not ask him to treat our club the way he did
His actions on the weekend don't need any explanation
It truly shows the type of man he is
What an embarrassment to the Penrith club
Good luck to them

If there is no apology from Cleary @hammertime and I don't believe he has the guts or decency to give us that apology....well it obviously becomes open slather, so yes....the whole team lining up after we score the winning point and blowing a unified kiss to Cleary could be the way to go.

Yep, fair enough @mike not the team, but can you imagine 20,000 of our fans turning in unison and blowing a kiss, waving and pointing to the scoreboard.
I'd be really satisfied with that....so don't bother with an apology Cleary.
