HHHEEEYYYY AHHHHH - SPOILERS

I notice on the Telegraph's website they have a story quoting Harrigan as saying the referees were prepared to send people off!
 
At half time Ray Hadley has made an interjection to Andrew Moore's call and correctly made the call that there are between 7 to 9 players who should be hauled before the judiciary for 'bringing the game into disrepute'.
As a I'm country fan he also made the comparison between 2 Orange clubs that saw one of them thrown out of the comp on the eve of the Group 10 semifinals for a similar incident (the Orange Hawks).
There was much made of Gallop attending the game tonight and he must have cringed at the lack of professionalism shown by the scum from the Northern Beaches.
Unfortunately now with the dismissal of a key Storm player in Blair Manly have a roll on.
 
What seems like a deliberate lopsided penalty count has broken Melbourne's spirit. Hoping someone takes Lyon's head off before the game is over.

I agree on both counts. Whilst I really don't like the storm, the refs seem to be cracking down on everything they have done, but have let manly do exactly the same without penalty.

see watmough get sent off.

see matai get carried off.

see Jamie Lyon Cry.

see george rose get several facials from Aaron Woods.

and see a 40-0 tigers scoreline.

I could be hit by a bus after the game, and I wouldn't care. I'd be so giddy with joy. :mrgreen:
 
Unfortunately I only saw the first 30 minutes so I missed the fight, but the ABC commentators brought up an interesting point: when the Stewart/Blair fracas started and the Manly reserves ran on to the field to join in, Manly technically had more than 13 men on the field and could lose their points anyway.
Another thing,in the 30 mins that I did see Foran scored that try after the kick through. I'd like to have seen a replay to check where one of his feet were. Looked very close to the Dead Ball line in the action shot - but then I loathe Manly to such an extent that I'd check on everything that might bring them undone.

I'd expect those that joined the feild will be in a heap of trouble….Storm were robbed tonight.
 
After the incident Brett Stewart said to the ref " I was only looking out for my brother, so would you" the refs answer was "I understand your frustration" . I very much doubt anything will happen from this both teams are on the " protected" list

Have never liked Manly or Melbourne, but after watching Manly closely from early on in the season, I must admit, I admire their aggression and toughness. Watched them at Win Stadium - they play extremely physical and hard. Tonight's game was fantastic television viewing in my book. Two top teams, belting the crap out of each other with egos and testosterone at super charged levels. Outstanding!

Yeah it was a good win considering Manly had only 1 bloke on the bench for the whole second half. Someone said they cant wait until we play them next year….I cant wait till we lock horns in the finals.
