Who has been?

Who you calling has been , has been ??

Haha, Pearce off Jack Gibbs on.

Great game from Hoeter. Defends soundly & runs the ball strong. Can't see Rowdy getting a look in at centre anymore unless there's an injury. Will be interesting to see what happens when Nofo is fit.

Comments by the super coach  Good call GOR

Disagree. Hoeter isnt quick for a young centre although shades Chris on current speed.

But Hoeter has a nice step, strong carries and is very effective in getting the player on the ground.

I think he is pretty slow but you are correct. He seems to have a good all round game. I'm not sure if he is a consistent first grader though.

I don't care if he is slow or fast. He was brilliant tonight in only his second NRL game and much much better than the guy he replaced.

I still think his best position is wing however after tonight it's pretty obvious he's the second best center the club has.

I don't think he is really a speedster but he isn't slow either. Should keep his spot for next game.

Hoeter was great tonight.

He and Naiqama gelled well too I thought.

Another selection headache, I am not upset by this.

It would be nice for Taylor to be wondering what backline combination do I choose wouldn't it

Hasn't happened since 2011

Well apart from when Potter couldn't decide between Cory Patterson and Adam Blair as our next left winger 😱pen_mouth:

Phew.. Glad those days are over 😱pen_mouth:

x2

Is it only me, or does he remind others of Justin Hodges as well? (Without the niggle)! An impressive game from him tonight. Not an out and out speedster, but enough pace to be able to beat his man.

Im not sure if DH played great or if it was just because it was such a relief having someone with speed in the centres (other than Simona). Soooooooo much better than Lawrence. Soooooooo much better having someone who offered something in attack.

Hope JT sticks with the same team for next week against the dodgy Sydney City "Third Party Agreements" Roosters

I'd rate his performance tonight as ok… There was nothing Great and there was nothing Poor.

When you take into account it was only his second NRL game I rate it better than OK. Playing in what is supposed to be the hardest position to defend he looked real good to me

good to see a back come from reserves and do the job.
but i don't really see him doing alot week in week out to make our right edge more explosive.

His defence on the line was GREAT…Joey said so...

Hoeter was great. I think the writing is on the Wall for Lawrence in the Centres. He is good as an interchange as he can cover any injuries in the forwards and in the backs.
It served us well last night when Richards got that cut on his cheek and in the position the cut was couldn't be bandaged and had to be stitched up, Lawrence came on and covered the position till Richards came back on.

From what I have seen, which isn't much, he seems to have the knack of getting himself between defenders and maintaining his momentum through the tackle. Good footwork and deceptively strong. Good hands too. Not a speedster, but not slow.

I'm with a few of the others who thought he did ok but didn't stand out.
Saying that, it was only his first game with the big boys and he held his own.
Still can't wait for Nofo - then our backline will fire on both sides.
Lawrence will now be a backrower or bench player - and I think that's a good move for him.

When?

I named in my team for this week in the "Your Team v Bulldogs" thread.

When I was questioning Naiqama over his skill under the high ball

Remember now ??
