can someone confirm this $10 a ticket business?
is this correct?

Yeah one or two bays right in the corner parralel to the ingoal/deadball line….you could walk around and sit behind the posts if u wanted too....tickets available to everyone, to bump up the crowd.

I thought you had to produce a NZ passport to get the $10 tix - which annoyed me, since I paid over 50 bucks for my 2.

The home ground "advantage" is long dead, especially in Sydney where the game isn't a tribal as what it used to be. People grow up in certain club territories and follow other teams. I've lived in Penriff near on my whole life and I still followed Balmain and later Wests Tigers.

The warriors have beaten two sides away from home in two weeks. St George got collared at Kogarah in 2009 against the Eels, We beat Canberra in Canberra last year.

Basically these days a home ground advantage is only there to bring the game to the home region of the higher placed team in order for it to be closer to their core supporter base than the opposition, and that only works if you're playing a team from outside of your region.

Seriously ink,I started this thread not to whinge, just wanted everyone's point of view.didn't know u policed how everyone thinks n feels n weather how they think or feel is valid or not… :unamused:

I posted my point of view.

You said you wanted **everyones.**

Now youre calling me a forum cop?

Maybe you just want views that agree with yours, eh?

why is it if you have an opinion on a thread that isn't the view of everyone elses, and you stand by what you say instead of caving, you get labelled as a forum cop?
all Ink did was give an opinion that you asked for

So Ink you think that it is fair that some people only paid $10 for a ticket and others paid 3 times as much all because the NRL was worried about the crowds
Money means something to some of us and $20 is $20 Ink
In my case when it is going to cost close to $800 in return air travel (per person) accomodation etc
Some of you guys down south don't realize how good you've got it

I want ur opinion on the threads topic, not ur opinion on how pointless the thread is…
That's all.....
I'm not crazy enuff to believe everyone is going to agree with me,just not to get shot down for starting a thread, that's fair enuff isn't it???

Didn't mind the haka.

Though Warriors supporters getting tickets for $10 was BS.

yeah that was rubbish -

bear in mind, all you had to do was say you were a warriors fan to get the tix.

I would have rocked up in full Tigers kit to collect them.

No its not fair, but as I pointed out I think it was available to anyone.
The game itself aint fair, some teams get all their semis at their real hom,e ground, others (sydney teams) get sfa. - not fair
You become a member in the offseason and then the club will offer all these other deals towrds the end of the year to non members - not fair
Some play top 8 teams maybe 9 or 10 times per season, other play 16 top 8 teams. - not fair
Someone else mentioned theres no home ground advantage for us and hasnt been since we started to get paid to play at these big grounds….the eastern suburbs will NEVER be our home...weve made our own bed, the clubs decided to go this way. Corporate $$$$ takes precedence over home ground advantage

Glad you brought up all these anomilies Ink
The NRL thinks that because it is sitting on a goldmine that it can shovel out whatever it thinks is fair and equitable to the fans and say it is "for the good of the game"and that is ok
Time us fans started protesting and letting the NRL what we really think of the way it runs the game and the way it treats it customers(the fans)
The IC must be getting close now 😛ray:

I agree Cub the side who finishes lower on the table should not get any advantages over the team finishing higher
If we finish 6th next year and play Manly in a second semi at SFS will we be given the advantages of $10 tickets and be given the right to sing our team song as the players are coming on the field Answer Not in your life
That is the difference Ink I
If its ok for one it has to be ok for all and we all know that will never happen

We wont get any advantages as our team is well supported

I dunno what the point of this thread is….people whinging coz some of the other teams fans turned up...the tickets were available to everyone not just warriors fans.

Geez :unamused: You'd have to be a little slow wouldn't you? Read my first post, what did I say about the impact it had on the game?

I doubt this thread would exist had we won, just another whinge.....

Ink A lot of Tigers fans rang the NRL to voice there disapproval BEFORE the game as usual to no avail
It I treated my customers like the NRL treats its fans on most occasions I'd be broke
