Home Ground situation needs to change

I still don’t know why Rockhampton isn’t considered. We’ll be able to pick the eyes out of the Capras talent and get some graziers to bank roll us.

Oh, and I live in town 🤭

How big is your backyard? Could you fit a boutique stadium in?

Good luck with Campbelltown it just has been rated the worst ground by fans in Sydney ... so unless someone has 40 million plus to knock it down and rebuild its a pipe dream ! Leichhardt 3rd Bankwest 1st .

We are stuck with the banks stadiums. In the future the banks will own them all.
Nobody can compete with them. That's why you don't get privately held stadiums in Australia. The red tape and public liability insurance would make them lose money.

Unless ANZ bank buys L.O and CSS and upgrades them, it's day are numbered.

What are you talking about? Are you being sarcastic or serious?

Must be high as a kite or joking. @matchball you do realise that the banks hold the naming sponsorship rights, not the actual stadiums? All the major stadiums in NSW are owned by the State Government.

Yeah nobody in the private world is going to buy or build a stadium - they often lose money. We don't have enough billionaire football team owners to care to buy a stadium for their side.

EXCELLENT reply @Elderslie_Tiger: the opportunities and benefits we will get with our home ground and fortress being C'town Sports Stadium are...
...E N D L E S S S... IMO.

Wests Tigers would most likely only create a ripple of excitement in the area when we first move there, but that ripple will soon explode into a Full Blown Jungle, our Wests Tigers Jungle, into which all our opponents will only enter at the risk of their own peril.

The young kiddies of today will soon be able to go to school with a huge  on their face as they are now the popular kids, instead of being beaten up as big time loosers.

Mum's and dad's will be happier.

And that happiness will ultimately spread throughout the land.

Pretty soon there will be only one team, people around the whole of Australia will want to follow...

"Our Wests Tigers".

Our membership will double or tripple or maybe even quadruple.

Our Wests Tigers will be the 1st team in the NRL to break the barrier of 100k members.

Wests Tigers will be an unstopable power in the land.

You ask me why??? I say WHY NOT!!!

Dont ask 'what can the club do for me'...Ask... "what can I do for My Wests Tigers"

Ps...some of you will realise I have plagerised a few words here and there.
My thanks to the late great President John F Kennedy.

Thats why we need to get in with the new A league franchise their major backer is in construction and has already said things will be happening at CSS .Its worked out well for the Wanderers with Bankwest and you can bet your life no A league team will want to share a home ground it all about tribalism and you can also bet they will want to keep up with Sydney FC and WSW

The government builds it then leases it out at a loss.
The government has never recouped the initial investment for the Olympic stadium. They didn't even get a quarter of the cost to build it when they leased it to ANZ.
Same goes for SFS. Never made a buck for the state coffers. It's all in the red.

Banks win, tax payers lose.

I'm talking about the stadiums run by the banks.
Tax payers foot the construction and the banks reap the profits.
Typical of capital croynism.

Gosford.

Going to keep on saying it. Just need to work out how it works for Wests

Makes no sense

It does for a Central Coast based side, not a team that has a combined 200 year history in Sydney.

The new A-League franchise with the construction backer is the Western United outfit from Melbourne.

Macarthur FC don't have an owner or major sponsor yet.

I still don't get what you are on about. Which stadiums are run by the banks?

Pretty certain the State Govt are not taking out bank loans to build / refurb the stadiums, so it has nothing to do with the banks?

Stadium Australia group was the lease holder with ANZ the financial backing. Banks are behind everything.
They bought the lease for $56 million and back in 2013 they tried to sell it back to the government for $100 million. Government refused.
Fast forward to 2016 and the stupid government bought the lease back for $220 million dollars.

Crony capitalism once again. The corruption runs deep with all this infrastructure spending.
Tax payers lose and the banksters win.

All this information is in the public domain but nobody questions it.

It was never leased by ANZ, it was by Infrastructure Capital Group but that was bought out by the NSW Government!

Details of Mavarthur FC
WHO'S BEHIND IT: Billionaire property developer Lang Walker's decision to come on board was pivotal, adding financial muscle to the bid fronted by Potentia Capital director Gino Marra. Ex-Socceroos Brett Emerton and Nick Carle gave the bid its football nous.

This is why we need to get together and talk they are already building a COE

EXCELLENT @Elderslie_Tiger: You obviously have your finger on the pulse of the feelings of the people of Western Sydney Parkland.

I personally am not pushing any agenda whatsoever, as I don't and never have lived in or around Campbelltown, and I have no business interests in or around there either.

So there is nothing to be gained for me personally.

But surely even blind Freddie must be able to see there is NO better alternative, than for our Wests Tigers fortress to be located in C'town.

We have to leave the traditional tribal areas of the Magpies and Tigers behind to truly become a UNIFIED club.

How can any self-respecting Rugby League club or the N.R.L. itself, allow a Soccer team to move into an area and dictate the terms, that should be and should have been 1st and foremost N.R.L. territory, with us allowing Soccer to use our arena.

I just don't get what a toothless tiger!!! the N.R.L. is.

Fair dinkum Elderslie Tiger, if a decision is made by the N.R.L. other than Wests Tigers playing out of C'town as our home ground no later than 2021 the Wests Group along with the N.R.L. will continue a long-running farce to the detriment of all Wests Tigers Fans.

Keep up the good work Elderslie Tiger :fa-smile-o:

Who was behind the infrastructure capital group?
Do the research. Ex AFL chairman Mike Fitzpatrick was the main principal of the company but sold his half to Westpac Bank just before the Stadium lease.
Mike Fitzpatrick is a banker. Worked in the U.S for Meryll Lynch before their collapse.
Did I mention he was also treasurer for Victoria after he retired?
Funny how politicians manage to acquire so vast wealth.

It's not what you know, it's who you know.
