If we have a good run on the injury front, and Brooks can take control and improve his short kicking game, I think we are a shot at a top 8 spot. We will be a champion team not a team of champions.

Im not sold on Liddle i think our 9 and 7 are pretty ordinary.

It's not all about Brooks
If every player does his part it takes the pressure off Brooks
I believe we have a better team on paper this year then we did last year
I guess will will need to wait till September to find that out

Kicking game is an unknown.
No way is our spine any worse than the above teams named
We might not have much speed, but that’s not everything. Guys like Noffa amd Fonua will be invaluable coming out of our own ground.
The draw is tough, but we have to play everyone sooner or later.
Not sure what 5 home grounds has to with winning and losing. It’s actually 3 not 5 anyway. I don’t count 1 game here or there as a home ground.

I need to see some trial form.

On paper we have the best depth we have ever had
On paper we have the best forward pack we have ever had.
We also have the best coach we have had in a long long time.

But there was so much change that needed to happen since we ran the last guy out of dodge that its hard to tell how far along we are.

This is pretty much my thoughts as well. Very hard to know how we'll go with what is practically a whole new team, but those first three points give me hope that we can make the top 8\. The first 6 weeks will be a real test, but why not?

It’s not about being positive or negative, it’s about being realistic. Bookies don’t always get it right, but they set their boards by looking at all the information available and comparing it with all the other starters and they risk doing a lot of cash if they get it wrong. Anyway they have us near the bottom and I see that as a realistic assessment.

Like all other Tigers fan I hope we blitz it, but I really think we may struggle. You can bag the crap out of me if Iam wrong.

These are our results the last 6 years

11th, 15th, 13th, 15th, 9th, 14th.

Our Top 17 looks weaker to me then some of those years this year. Our depth may be better.

However I like our coach.

Still I think we will be bottom 4\. Why? Because for me we have Bottom 4 talent.

Hope I am wrong like Supercoach. However I'm a realist.

We are not favourites for the Spoon for no reason.

Slightly hypocritical man , laying into everyone in another thread about being critical of their opinions and then doing the exact same thing in another thread …hey ??

We have a lot of variables to deal with this season

As SC said the hardest being trying to get a brand new side with many new recruits team to gel against 6 of the toughest sides in the comp straight up will be a battle

Be tough to make the 8 if we started 1-5 or worse still 0-6

I'm trying to remain positive , but it is a scary proposition , even with the Super Coach Ivan

Everyone wants the best for the club , but many have seen the last 6 years and still have their reservations , understandably so
