Hooker: your thoughts?

For mine we will get much better service out of Fults at 9 over 6 particularly in defence. Should add some considerable starch to our ruck defence but may struggle with scurrays out of dummy half. Probably will get some help from Utai and Moltz and maybe even Ryan in that department. Fulton will let noone down.

Keep it tight early , which after a last few starts would be nice and then weave the magic when the game wears on hopefully and once we have won the forwards battle and we are tearing them a new one up the middle of the ruck

Fults will do well if he keeps it clean with short quick passes. I think the forwards will benefit running off him IMO

Iosefa is probably the worst defender in the club and the only game plan Brian Smith gets right is the one against our mob. Massive forwards usually hitting just on the edges with lanky backrowers running great lines. We need all defenders on deck although I would not play Fulton at dummy half. I would go for Humble and maybe Iosefa on the bench to run them ragged as their big men tire, but in the early encounters of each half we need sure defenders

I agree with this option, a good idea not to mess with the team too much, assuming we are only filling the one spot.

I was so sure that bringing in Humble or Pat would be the best option but your both right, the less we muck around with the team the better.
Moltzen already plays 5/8 when he's FB and we've had Ryan there before. We only need to adjust our game around the ruck.

Fulton at 9 is excellent for defence, i was concerned with either Masada, humble or politini defending against the big roosters pack.
I reckon the main reason they have moved Moltz into halves is to help with a bit of play making given there will be no Farah.

I think it is the safest option we could have come up with, and given we are a better side, safe is prob the way to go.

Agreed, I hope Moltz plays out of his skin. I'd love to see him there Long term especially seeing he's here for 3 more years

YESSS!!!!! LAWRENCE IS BACK!!!!

I noticed the Tigers had quietly taken him off the casualty ward list about 48 hours ago, but I didn't get too excited. I just hope he doesn't get hurt coming back in too early.

Fulton is the only player who's really out of position for my money, and I think he's the best choice under the circumstances. I know we could get a specialist hooker from a lower grade, but I'd rather a bloke who's been in the forwards for the tigers since '03.

I think whoever replaces Minichello is going to have a tough afternoon.

I'm happy to have Liam in the centre of things in defence. Sure he's not a Robbie Farrah style playmaker but he's gone to work his ass off in defence.

I thought Humble was a very handy player unfortunately didn't get the upgrade to club Sheens!
