HOPE KIWIS CARVE THE UP THE KANGAROOS

Benji would have gone into camp saying "Attack Lote's wing, he is always out of position in defense"…....
I hate to keep repeating this but if you go to the games it becomes quite evident...
Kangaroos are living on PAST reputations. The team needs some guts and enthusiasm:-
Halves combination - ZERO
As for Shillington - he must have been on the Kiwis radar during training too.....hats off to Blair for riling him up.
I don't think it was a bad game...but a tough one.
What was the go with minimal "3rd referee" decisions. Looked like a game from the 80's.
One thing I noticed though - some very dangerous tackling from the KIwis that should have been penalised.
Oh well...hopefully next time the BEST Australian players will be chosen.
BENJI for Player of the Year

Hopefully tonight was Lockyer's last game in Australian colours. He has had an excellent test career but I think he looked a bit past it tonight and I really think Sheens should have stuck with last week's side. Morris got no ball tonight, Tonga was non-existant and I lost count of the number of times Eastwood belted Gidley.

How the hell does Jeremy Smith get man of the match over the bloke who put on the final two tries to win the game? As Smith said himself, he was standing around with his hands on his hips when Marshall handled twice at critical times to snatch the game.

Smith had a good game but seriously…

Smith did SO much hard work out there, often making busts or tackles that really helped compose the kiwis.
Best on field IMO

lol @ Australia
That's what you get for dropping Lawrence for Tonga, Farah for Kidley

Absolute nonsense - I think I know where the Players' Player will go!

And this also has to make Benji a special for the Golden Boot!!!

As for supercoach Kearney - his handling of Luke almost cost them the match! In fact - Benji saved his arse! Good luck to Parra …. pffft!

We'll have to disagree. Smith had a big game but without Marshall NZ lose. Without Smith they still might have won.

Great call Yoss! For instance - Smith will help Cronulla improve next year but will not bring them their maiden premiership!

(Same goes for Inglis)!!!

Yep. Not selecting Robbie and Chris was cowardly. It really bit when Lewis went off injured and Australia needed some attacking spark (ie Robbie Farah) - all Sheens had on the bench were Bird and GIdley, offering penalty-milking and nothing respectively.

Hail Benji. We should all be so proud of him.

Well, that finished up as one of the best internationals I've seen in a while.

As I said earlier, the refs were awful, but at least they were awful for both sides….they are consistent at least :/

Last week, the Aus side had some spark and flair, this week, old and boring. Some tough decisions should have been made, but I guess they'll be easier to make next year. It might be Lote's last run in Aus colours, but who he had as a centre was probably more the problem.....I hope we don't see Tonga anywhere near the Aus jumper again. Locky is passed it, he was passed it long before the final I felt. Slater was non-existent. I'm not a big fan of Cam Smith, he's a good traditional hooker I guess, but I'm used to seeing a hooker with a bit more flair, he just can't seem to spark up a side. Gidley had nothing. Unless these players really set the world on fire at the beginning of next season, I wouldn't expect them to be seen for the Anzac Test.

The Kiwi forwards need to learn to hang onto the ball, they let us off the hook plenty of times, might have been a worse scoreline.

Thought Benji would have picked up the Man of the Match too.

And great stuff Channel Nein! no interview with the winning captain, no post match presentation......sooooo glad you're promoting the game.....

OMGGGG I DIDN'T WATCH THE GAME!!!!
I thought it was 7.30 on sunday!! aaaargh!!!

Anyways, going of the comments, (and yeh I'm bandwagoning a bit)

GO BENJI!!! :sign: :righton: :wahoo: :master: :master:

australia didnt have the best hooker in the world on the ground - farah, smith is not as good, lockyer instead of carney, tonga instead of lawrence, gidley instead of boyd etc etc etc. the australian coach must be held accountable for selecting this team when only last week they smashed the kiwis with this team. Bye bye lockyer - you're over it.

Lota Tuqiri is not green and gold material unfortunately. His defense is woeful.
Felt the Australian forwards defended OK - attack was one dimensional and ooohhhh so boring.
Hope this is the bomb under the butt the Australian selectors need.
If the Poms can get 20 players over here for a season or two we should get a third team in the mix.

Australia lost it in the backs. Our forwards aimed up and played very well, but some poor defensive plays and errors along with a lack of creativity in the backs cost us. Nobody in the backline really stood up and played a fantastic game. Having Thurston, Hodges, Inglis or even Hayne would've helped us big time.
