How about Jason Taylor as coach?

IMO JT should be considered for a 1+1 (option for Tigers) contract.
Sheens would probably have to line up a new club for this to happen.
BTW 2UE sports show just mentioned Trent Barrett sighted with CEO Humphreys but don't know if this fact.
Maybe Barrett will join as an assistant to Sheens next season.

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not but any new coach is an improvement I suppose. Hopefully a rookie coach would work hard to beat the odds and establish themselves. Could also backfire hard and Sheens could laugh hard at us

With all the assistance at his disposal, the great, honorable, his majesty Timothy Sheens can just sit back and relax. No wait, sorry, he's been relaxing for 5 years now, but the other savior Stephen Humpreys, should also find some more time to relax, give him an assistant to. God what would we do without them.

Maybe they want Trent Barrett to play. It's desperate times! He could partner Marshall in the halves this week. :unamused:

No thanks… We need a seasoned professional who has some ability to manage this club off the field and ensure the football operations remains separate to political agendas.

Give me folkies anyday he's hard nose old coach with a 50+ % win ratio and took the bulldogs to 7 final series in 11 years. I reckon he could make the hard decisions that needs to be made. If sheens does go which is unlikely the new coach will need time to build a squad they want their way

My first choice is Bellamy but Tigers dont have the bucks to payout Sheens & look after Bellamy.
J Taylor worth a look at but yeah, all available contenders should be considered.
As long as we get a change ASAP & the best man gets the job then we can move forward.
This is what the players & fans deserve.

Quality student of the game, you only have to read his articles and watch his video's on the SMH website to know that. Don't think hes much of a player manager though. Would love to have him as an assistant coach and possibly Daniel Anderson as head coach, although the ad lib style of footy the eels played under him on the way to the 09 final could be a step backwards for us.

Supported Sheens for along time but im starting to warm to the idea of a new coach, provided we get the right coach not just any coach for the sake of change

I'll take any one at this point. A rookie who may struggle is a much better option than a self-destructing coaching staff.

Benji said he wouldn't want to play for any other coach. And therein folks is the problem. The players have too much power. Benji knows it, Teflon knows it, and Humphrey B Bear knows it. Here's to more mediocrity in 2013

No to both Taylor and Brown - seem to lack maturity for some reason. We need someone strong and disciplined, imo like Folkes, Bellamy or Hasler and since Folkes would be the only possible out of those 3 then it has to be him.

Or maybe Sheens and Bellamy can swap and we could have a good laugh at Melbourne for once

There's more to coaching than just knowing the game you have to be able to
Manage people on that note will pass on Mr Talyor.

I don't see why we always seem to recruit more assistant coaches from outside. I don't know how Payten is as a coach but up until Sunday I thought he was going ok, but 1 person I think we should be bringing along is Webster (Tigers SG Ball Coach) we shouldn't be only looking at developing players but also coaches rather than bringing back deadwood like Simmons. If the club was to replace Sheens I would like to see Gentle given a crack.

And that is the sad truth.
