How bad is Brad Fittler?

Rarely watch the second game on nine on Fridays (for obvious reasons), but due to insomnia watched last night. The most woeful commentary ever. It was like having one of us braodcasting a Tigers game (except we would have been mature enough to be more impartial). Honestly, if I were an Eels fan I would have put my fist through the tele.
Ban the man from Roosters games I say.

he should be banned from commentating full stop. I know a lot of people like him because he gets into it but last night was particularly embarressing. Its almost like he and Joey are aware of the reputation they have now and they go out of their way to make themselves sound like morons. I can't believe how much of a goose Fittler has become since his playing days. When he was a player he had the same kind of personality Lockyer had. He's just become a tool these dayz

He's there for comedy value and nothing more it seems. I find him funny, but I wouldn't have him doing any games in the semis or involving teams playing in the semis. Let's face it, Roosters/Eels isn't much of a game to start with.

Ended up a better game than Melbourne v Manly…

Freddy wears his heart on his sleeve and usually I like that but you guys are right he was almost rubbing it in to the Eels supporters during Roosters comeback and if it had of been the Tigers I would have been furious.

Someone beat a tackle on halfway and Freddy screamed " his gonna go all the way" he was tackled 5 meters later lol...like I said I found it humorous but would have been spewing if it was the tiges so I guess I agree with others.

Not as bad as the NZ commentators.Fittler is very erratic….sometimes talks like hes had a puff beforehand.

He get's into it and adds some humor into the game and I don't mind him being biased as most times it come's back to bite him on the arse.So i dont mind him.

Yeah i agree…whenever a big hit is put on or a bit of magic supplied you can tell he is out of his chair applauding the play.

However he was very biased towards his old team and that was annoying to listen to as he should attempt to be neutral.

Lucky he wasnt at the Melbourne/Manly game lol... he would be in trouble today you'd expect.

i realy hope so. nothing wrong with a bit of humor but the game realy takes a back-seat to to their idiocy
they are a blight on the game. Another reason why i'm seriously hoping 9 lose the rights, coz i realy can't stand anyone on their commentary team anymore

I cant work him out to be honest. He comes across completely fake, but those who know him say thats exactly how he is…........so i guess the conclusion to reach from that is....he's a goose and his friends know it

I thought he was at Brookvale, I was sure it was him cheering and getting all exited when Stuart and Blair started again.

I watched that game when I found out Parra lossed. I normally love seeing them losing but I actually felt a bit sorry for them with a few dud calls from the refs and the dud commentators (namely blind Freddy and his mate) carrying on like a pack of excited schoolgirls

Don`t mind him to be honest. I didn`t catch the game last night but I have generally found him to say it how he sees it. He does have a reputation of being quite out there though.
