Maybe Madge can get his players back deeper in attack and give Brooksy and Doueihi some options. The flat style they are playing is embarrassing and went out in the 90s. When the ball goes out the back line they are just waiting for someone’s individual play to create something. All the top teams have players in motion and all know their role. Our blokes just wait for someone to do do something in hope. They stand around looking lost. It’s park football at best.

I know it's harsh but I dare say a lot of the blame tonight could go to Cini.

Whilst understandable that he is young and it's up to the team around him to support but calling a spade a spade- the multiple drop balls on our line combining that with the Don constantly out contesting him. We were put under unnecessary pressure leading to multiple tries.

Madge should have foreseen the expected high kicks they aimed at Cini. Most times he had little support while these kicks were up in the air.

Agreed. It also doesn’t help the players you bring up early either. Take Cini for example - if he gets dropped (which is likely) it’s close to a career killer because everyone remembers that game when the next contract decisions are being made.

Let alone just his confidence in general. How is going to feel the next time someone kicks to him next week?

Let’s face it
We have 99 problems and brooks is only one.
Our attitude in D is terrible more often than not; we have a bunch of bog average first graders who go to water as soon as any pressure is applied or they make U7’s mistakes and then when you need someone to lead and to take every opportunity to pull back points, Brooks doesn’t; he either goes missing, picks the wrong play (passing inside rather than out, piss weak dribble kick into the defence rather than through etc etc etc etc)
Douehi will more often than not take the right option.

I said in another post Brooks has lost his skills or his confidence. You tend to not loose skills at his age so his confidence is shot.
He needs some time in reserves to find his play making mojo again. If not, ESL beckons.

Wow. I don’t remember any rookies having as bad a game as Cini had tonight. It was deadset the worst winger game have seen at nrl level.

The amount of linebreaks we concede is diabolical. Especially the ones where our structure doesn't break down, someone just misses a tackle then boom, out of nowhere they score. It's not just one player, it's all over the show. Every player has a turn at defensive failures.

I have no idea how to solve it. Dropping those players won't do anything.

Pretty bad.... though bar that 5mins, giving Titans an 18 point head start, we werent great by any means, but for the most part the rest of it wasnt horrible either.

Kicking was pretty poor tonight, but we werent entirely impotent within their 20m, werent slick, but we were probing.

There were alot of poor moments, and we generally paid dearly for them, but we also did alot of good things as well.

Im as disappointed as the next fan, but we lost that game. We were pretty good for alot of that game, but pathetic when we werent.
