How does Chris Lawrence's future look?

I think the best way to describe Chris is professional. The way he worked on his defence and actually became a good defender in one off season was unbelievable. Through injury and oppositions being more wary of him, he didnt make those exciting line breaks, but he went on to develop a great catch and pass which enabled Tuiaki to score try after try. The development in his defence and passing has made him a complete centre. Im not sure if i was a selector if i'd have him in the Blues next year, but he isnt far off.

Glad your not a selector then…although you would probably do a better job....

Lawrence for Origin 2010.if they want to win.......

I am a Chris Lawrence fan of the highest order! I think he is a great club man and should be the face of the NRL, he's that good, and more importantly for the game right now he is a clean skin with an extremely level head.

The only reservation i have at the moment is the trouble he had with his ankle after he was selected and missed out on the City game. I was at the game v Melbourne at Liechardt at the sight of him burning nilly slater down the sideline was nothing short of Sensational!!! I just hope that the speed he showed that night is still there. Fastest player in the comp if it is!!

This kid will be even better with another great off-season and a game plan to bring him more into the game. His defence was outstanding this year and he is not to far off from being the complete centre. Just combine the fend of Inglis and the quick speed off the mark of Jennings.

He is an awesome talent. The way that he has improved his defence has really impressed me as has the way that he has adapted to the centres. As a winger he was a brilliant finisher, yet now he excels at setting up TNT. And I have to agree with Tiger_Tomato that watching him blow Slater off the park was amazing.

Hopefully he can push his way into the Origin team next year!

Chris Lawrence is becoming one of the best centres the game has to offer.

For someone with a load of questions marks hanging over his defense, he has responded in best possible way.

By becoming one of the strongest defensive centres around. I am completely surprised that no more has been discussed about how good his defense has been. Particularly in the last round against the dogs.. There were some bone crunchers in there, and some great reads that shut the dogs down..

i think he's wasted in the centres. with his defence, speed and ability to break the line, i think he should be moved to lock or fullback.

As long as he can fill out and maintain his speed at the same time he could definitly have a future rep career in the near future..

Fill out? You are kidding right… he's pretty big for a kid already... I think he's at a perfect compromise in terms of his size and pace.. ask Billy Slater

How is he wasted in the centres ?, I thought the perfect centre was defence ,speed and ability to break the line, I can't believe you came up with that silly statement.. Fair Dincum :unamused:

Sorry to bring this thread up again guys, (my very first thread)
but I must say he is the most unlucky person in the NRL.

Everything people said about his ability, he has proved them all right, except for one prediction
THE BLUE PREDICTION.

He was ready in 09 IMO, shld've played in 2010, injured in 2011.
I wish him a very speedy recovery, and I know when he will be back, he will carve up the Eels.
I believe in ya Rowdy. !

he should be in the nsw team next year. but to further himself he should leave this sinking ship

every single post champ.

every single god-damned post.

you can't even say anything positive about the club in relation to Chris FREAKING Lawrence. The quintessential poster boy of our club, who doesn't do a thing wrong, doesn't put a foot out of place, always tries hard, has declared himself a tiger for life. Good thing he has more belief in himself and this club than you do.

I did a post search on you damo - your postings are directly proportional to when we lose a game. Did you know that mate? As a so called "fan" of our team, you have SFA to say when we win games, or are going well, but the second we lose a game or two, poor play or not, you bag EVERYTHING.

You my good sir are the reason the forum has an ignore function or particular users - I will no longer put myself through reading your dribble.

The club doesn't need "supporters" like you champ. In tough times they need supporters like the majority of us here, who through thick and thin turn out in there Black/Orange/White.

As you said UD, just ignore them.
Thanks for giving him/her a reality check, don't think he/she will learn much though.
If they do, good for 'em and the community of this forum.

I want to see him at fullback. He is a great player and I can just picture the length of the field tries and go forward he would give us.

oh guide dog you sweetie thats the problem with the club you accept mediocrity like the coach and some players not i iam not one eyed and umm i did post over some of our great wins like penrith and many others have a nice day of mediocrity. :deadhorse:
